Pure Zinc Anode 2 Pcs, 6 x 1 x 0.04 Inch (19 GA) 99.99% Pure Zinc Sheets for Plating and Electroplating

I’m new to electroplating but thought I’d give it a shot. Used YouTube vids for guidance. These plate’s worked perfectly for my small parts. Plating original parts on a vintage VW Beetle and they look like “factory” new parts. Couldn’t be happier.

The sink in a small powder room needed a new faucet because the plating had worn off and was corroded. I could not find a new faucet because they are no longer available in such a small size. I removed the offending part, I put it in a jar of vinegar, connected it to a battery and the piece of zinc. It replated in a a matter of minutes, and looked like new.YouTube has many detailed instructions, including safety precautions.

I performed a specific weight test on the zinc strips and its roughly 97% pure. See pic. Thumbs up if this helps.

I ordered 2 of these. You get exactly what it looks like. Shopped online for longer than should be necessary and I'm hapy that I found these.

These anodes are great they suited me well until I noticed they had copper in them when doing hydrolysis I wouldn't say these are super safe if you are doing something more dangerous because who knows what's in these things...
