Great rain poncho
This rain poncho was excellent as we traveled to Alaska. Many compliments on design, large enough to keep me dry, well constructed, packs away tightly in its own bag. Love it!

Reusable quality
Bought several colors and used these in a theme park in Florida for 4 days. They were fabulous. They were more like a ripstop fabric than the typical plastic ones you buy. As a result, they didn’t stick to your body, they didn’t rip, they didn’t make you sweat, and they were easily reusable day after day. One small thing I loved most about them is that they were super easy to fold back into their little pouches, making them so convenient to tuck in a backpack. They dried quickly each night and were ready to go the next morning. The hood had a little brim to keep the rain out, and a drawstring at the neck. Would absolutely recommend. Even my husband commented on how much he liked them which is not something he would normally do!

Gear saver on an Elk hunt.
On an Elk hunt this past weekend got caught in a surprise rain/hailstorm. It came up behind us in the mountains. Rain gear was at base camp. Poncho was in my day pack and saved the day. Kept my rifle, gear and me mostly dry and free from the sting of the hail as I crouched in my stand. Even the small bag it comes in with the draw strings came in handy to put over the bore to keep water out of my barrel. I normally don't give reviews much, but I give this one a thumbs up! If you're gonna hunt, hike or fish it's wise to have something like this with you. It's not cumbersome, it's open on the sides, you still have use of your arms and hands to accomplish your tasks.

Nice but has a strong plastic smell.
It's the perfect size for travel and packs away nicely into its bag. It also seems to do a great job of being waterproof, though I haven't had the chance to test it fully just yet. One unexpected thing I noticed is that it has a pretty strong plastic smell, which caught me off guard. It ended up giving me a bit of a headache and made my whole living room and kitchen smell! I do have a larger-than-average head and quite a bit of hair, and while it does fit, it's a tad snug. I might consider making a slit to make it more comfortable, especially during hot and humid rain.

Good quality thicker material
I actually like this one Ive bought a few from other sellers and they are all usually really thin like they were throw away even though they all tend to be priced the same this one is good and thick I keep it in the truck and need to order a second for the house

An honest review and a few suggestions for product improvement
We purchased this poncho for backpacking and camping. While we find its rain repellency and size to be good and reliable, in general, there are a few minor manufacturing quirks others might find useful prior to purchase. First, if you're an adult under 6ft tall and up to 250lbs, this will provide adequate coverage. It's not going to keep your shins or boots dry in a driving rain (that's what waterproof boots are for!), but if you button up the snaps along the sides (3 snaps per side), you should keep nice and dry. Unless, of course, you've got a big head or wear a ballcap. We found the head opening to be a little too snug to don the poncho while wearing a ball cap and glasses; though, once through, the hood provides ample coverage and the built-in visor helps keep the wet off the ball cap's brim. The side snaps are decently spaced apart, but their placement at the edge of the material makes us wary of pulling them open too fast. The chest pocket is sizeable and, to give you an idea, you could fit a couple decks of cards inside –maybe a phone, too. The material is light and that's great, except if the wind is really blowing; then, the material blows around a lot (even while snapped) and that presents some opportunities for an intruding drop or three. The forest camo poncho we purchased would probably work for hunting, too, though the rustling of the material (not as bad as plastic) could give up the game –along with the large white logo printed on the lower right corner. All told, it's a good poncho for the price. A slightly larger head opening, a slightly larger hood with drawstrings, a brim band, reinforced seams for the snaps, maybe an additional 4 inches of material for the arms and legs would be good; a drawstring at the waist and mid-thigh would all make this poncho perfect. Don't let this review dissuade you from getting this poncho, especially if you get it for the rare occasion you're caught off guard and need something, like your vehicle's emergency bag. Happy poncho-ing!

Extra thick?
I needed a heavier raincoat and the extra thick hooded poncho sounded good. It’s thin as any other poncho IMHO. Nice colorful design. But a design is not going to keep me warm.
