Perfect fit
Ordered late Monday, arrived Thursday along with 4 other components using standard shipping. The remaining all showed up Friday. As usual, Amazon did a great job combining orders and I paid maybe $30 shipping in total, for everything. I installed the following, and this part was compatible: ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen3 motherboard Intel Core i5-2500K CPU Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler (RR-212E-20PK-R1) Antec Nine Hundred Two V3 case Corsair 60GB Force Series 3 SATA III 6Gb/s 2.5 inch SSD Lite-On Lightscribe 24x SATA DVD WD Caviar Black 500 GB SATAIII 7200 RPM 32 MB cache OEM Corsair TXM V2 Series 650W 80+ Bronze modular power supply Windows 7 64 bit OEM Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8 GB PC3 1600 mhz DDR3 memory My old WD HDD SATAII 7200 RPM from previous PC MSI GeForce GTX560 Ti 1GB DDR5 Twin Frozr II OC This works nicely with my mobo setting on XMP. Fit nicely in the slots, sturdy and solid. Booted right up with no memory errors. The thing I liked about these sticks is that it fits nicely under my CPU cooler with no clearance issues. I think the extreme epeen fins on some of the RAM may look fancy, but may not clear your CPU cooler if you're using air cooling. Particularly if you try to slot them in the first slot next to the CPU. These low profile barely clear the fins on the hyper 212 when put in slot one, in this mobo. So if you're considering buying the taller sticks, take this into consideration. I'm overclocked to 4.5ghz with two 120mm front fans, 1 120mm rear fan, and a 200mm top fan and my mobo and cpu temps are barely above room temp at idle and never come close to any danger zone even at max settings stress testing using Intel Burn Test. I may receive flames for this, but that leads me to conclude that the finned RAM sticks are pretty much for show. Great value, great name brand, would highly recommend this RAM for your overclocked air cooled rig, or any other set up for that matter. Cheers.

Corsair Vengeance LP Memory
I chose this memory for my first build because it was cheap and from a well known brand. I also liked that it didn't have the big heat-sinks like on the regular Vengeance RAM which allows room for aftermarket CPU heat-sinks. My PC is used mainly for gaming and Netflix, and 8 GB is more than enough for those needs. The only problem I had was the BIOS detecting them as 1333 mHZ instead of 1600, but a quick change in the BIOS fixed that that. Changing the frequency to 1600 mHz also increased the timings from 9-9-9-24 to 11-11-11-2?, so i had to manually change them as well, so be on the lookout for that. The timings issue is from my BIOS though and says nothing bad about the RAM. It works flawlessly; definitely recommended. UPDATE (28 Dec. 2012): No problems after more than a year. I eventually brought the frequency back down to 1333MHz and was able to tighten the timings to 7-8-7-22. Stable, no problems. UPDATE (5 Feb. 2015): Still going strong. Now being used with an i5 3570k and z77 motherboard and XMP profile loads automatically. No problems at all; this is some durable memory. UPDATE (3 Mar 2017): Still going; coupled with another pair of 8 GB for 16 total in a new build - the 4th this memory has been in! Highly recommend

Just awesome, zero problems
Awesome memory, the best I've ever had in many ways. Simply took the old memory sticks out and popped these in and Windows 7 Home Premium immediately recognized the new memory. Also, this memory is low profile which means that it doesn't have oversized heat spreaders that can create problems when trying to install bulky after-market (non-stock) CPU coolers. Many after market CPU coolers hang over the memory slots and if you have large heatsinks sticking up from the memory then there's not enough clearance for the CPU cooler. This memory fit right into my son's Rosewill Challenger mid-ATX case and I was still able to install a Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU cooler onto the AMD Phenom II X4 CPU without a problem. One of the copper heat pipes for the CPU cooler comes very close to touching the nearest memory stick, but it's still not a problem because I don't think it's actually touching it and even if it is then it's still only touching the memory's heat sink and not the actual RAM itself.

Corsair has always made some of the best memory modules on the market, and after getting two of these kits for a total of 16GB, I can see that they still are some of the best. Works great on any platform, but bare in mind that the SPD is set to 1333MHz from the factory, so you will need to adjust it to the rated and tested 1600MHz in BIOS. Even so, I actually left mine at 1333MHz for a while because I forgot about this, and all was well. If you find this for about the 30 price point, there is no reason to look for anything else. Mind you, the normal profile version, if those fit your system, will go a bit higher in OC because they can dissipate a slightly larger amount of heat. Mind you, these are rated for 1.5v which is very low for a kit running at these speeds and latencies, so there is plenty of room to spare and I can guarantee that they will run at 1866MHz with a proper motherboard. In any case, for the average user, this is everything you will need and more, at least for the following 2-3 years.
