Some good, some bad
The good:very light weighteconomicbreathableslide well on a sport courtThe bad:-no knee or above the knee protection. Good goalie pads have a big pad on the inside of the leg to cushion your knee when you go down with the pad facing forward (the butterfly). I've spent about $100 finding knee pads that work with these.-Very little side or back of the leg protection (not terribly needed though).-They use toe strings to tie up to your skates. Mine can shift to the side when I'm sprawling on the ground and need to be adjusted mid game.-30 inch senior isn't quite long enough for me. I'm 5'7" and on the butterfly the pads aren't long enough to close the 5 hole. It's a big let down to have a puck go between your legs when you're already on the ground in the butterfly. These pads are made for ball hockey and to stand up with. If that's what you want them for go for it. You should not play buttefly or drop to your knees with these pads. I did enjoy them for awhile but I need to upgrade. I play roller with a puck and you really have to be able to go down on the butterfly.
