Glad I chose the JOCO
Love this cup! I don't use it all the time, but there is a small brother/sister owned coffee shop nearby and I take it there often. They are happy to use my JOCO cup instead of the paper ones, which was something I was worried about. Starbucks accepts it too, but I don't think I'd try to use it at a Dunkin Donuts. Some other reviewers complained about the silicone taste of the lid, but I have not noticed any flavor or even really a scent to it. The flow from the lid is perfect - I don't ever worry even with very hot drinks. It comes out smoothly and not too fast. The lid seals effectively to the cup BUT in addition to the sipping hole, there is another tiny hole on the opposite side of the lid and liquid, now matter how little, will spill right out through these holes if the cup is turned on its side.My one recommendation is that you rinse the inside of the lid quickly after using the cup. I - stupidly - ordered a cappuccino in it and then forgot it on my desk for a couple days. Getting the smell of old milk out of the lid was really hard. A combination of boiling it with lemon juice, coating it with baking soda, and leaving it to air out for a day or two solved the problem.I also have no issues with the temperature of my drink coming through the silicone grip. I drink hot drinks in this thing day in and day out and have no problems. Some reviewers complained it was too hot but I haven't noticed that. Doesn't feel any different to me than a regular paper cup with a sleeve, plus the grip feels secure in my hand.

My favorite cup ever
I purchased my first 16oz Joco cup years ago and immediately loved it. The silicone lid is genius where you don’t dribble or burn your self because you can feel the heat through the lid before it reaches your lips. The glass doesn’t change the taste which I prefer. Great quality since it lasted me years before I finally dropped it too hard. Immediately bought a new one

16oz is the perfect size for my coffee. It fits perfectly under my Moccamaster Single Serve Cup.
I love my JOCO cup I use it every day. After reading some of the negative reviews I was skeptical about the purchase. All the complaints I read about on the JOCO cup are not 100% accurate. The cup isn't too hot to hold, it's no hotter than any other cup I've used! In fact, after my coffee is done brewing, I'll microwave it for another 45 seconds. I like my coffee really HOT! As to the complaints about the lid having an odor, it smells like silicone mine was just fine. About the lid not making a clicking noise when you're putting it on is ridiculous. The lid stays on perfectly regardless of the fact, that you don't hear a click. Turns out they were just dumb complaints. I recommend buying the cup, hope this was helpful. Cheers!

Nice ergonomics, poor insulation prevents good use as travel mug
I consider insulation as a required feature for a travel mug and this does not perform that function adequately. This is a single layer cup so the glass portion gets rather hot with coffee and within 30 minutes the contents will no longer be satisfactorily hot. Nice shape, ergonomics, and ease of cleaning. There is a mild rubber smell to the lid.

Friendly to the environment and the user
This cup is pretty fantastic. I love the wide mouth because it's very sturdy for my tea maker that drains from the bottom. The lid is a lot more secure than it initially seems because it's soft and rubbery, but it really latches on to the cup. The glass itself feels very durable. I haven't dropped it, but I sometimes make tea with near boiling water (herbal and rooibos) and it's still pristine. I've microwaved the glass (minus the lid and the silicone sleeve) many times and it functions wonderfully. Even with the silicone sleeve, the whole cup gets pretty hot, too hot to handle for extended periods. I usually slide the sleeve to the bottom where it's loose but still on the cup so that the sleeve doesn't absorb as much of the heat. I then move it to my breakfast table or my desk and slide the sleeve back on tightly. Touching the exposed glass to check the temperature for drinkability helps a lot to prevent burning of the tongue which happened too often with previous cups.

Chemical smell
The silicone lid on this cup has a strong chemical smell that is hard to get past

Perfect Glass Cup
Bought this after my other Glass mug shattered. So far it's doing its job. I am a mom and student the goes everywhere I go. Even at home I use it even if I do have coffee mug.PROEasy to heat up.Easy to washHas good weight / grip to it. Especially for someone like me who at times can't feel my limbs and have tremors...CONS- Do not keep beverage hot/warm looking enough.- if you wear lip color it will stain your rubber top. ( Nothing soap and water can't wash off)- just don't shake or twirl it will drip out ventilation slit.

Hot Coffee…
Terrible hot specialty drinks.Reason 1…it’s too hot to handle! Yes, that’s with the sleeve on. Beware, you may burn or scald yourself.Reason 2…plastic plastic plastic taste. I could not get rid of the taste from the silicone or cup. Not sure but it was gross. Washed multiple times.Reason 3…if you like to drink specialty coffee or other drinks with a straw, this doesn’t work well. Regular straws won’t fit. Narrow straw kind of fits but is crimped where it goes through the lid.I would not recommend this cup purely from a safety standpoint.
