I have been using this base coat nail polish for years now and I love it. It's a little bit healthier option to other companies which use ingredients with more toxins in their products. I have extremely dry nails & hate the texture of them without this clear base. I don't wear any color polish over it on my fingernails because I like the natural look. It makes my fingernails look satiny and healthy. If you want super glossy nails then put a coat of the clear "What the Gel" gel-like top coat over it. I also wear this base coat on my toe nails & then apply color polish on top. It gives my toe nails a smooth coat before applying a coat of my favorite Ella & Mila "Pinktini" or "Paint the Town Red." I always have this product on hand & therefore highly recommend it.

This actually works as a ridge filler. Brush is perfect for application. I highly recommend. First time trying this brand. Polish stays on too without using gels or powder. A keeper.

While it is an excellent toxin free base coat, I was hoping it would have a leveling and smoothing effect for nail ridges. It’s just a decent base. Does dry fast and the odor is low

I love all of the ELLA+MILA products. The base coat is amazing if you have natural nails. Their products don't have the "evil 17" chemicals that you find in other nail products. It also makes the polish last longer using this base coat-I've tried other brands (Essie/OPI) this is the best in my opinion. I found when i used other brands my nails started splitting. Check out their SOY POLISH REMOVER -it's much better for your nails than acetone! You will LOVE the base!

The ella +mila basecoat was below average quality and over-priced. The one positive for the basecoat is that it prevented my nails from getting stained by darker colors. The basecoat didn't add any extra grip or staying power to my nail color, and took quite a while to dry. It made my nails easy to dent and smudge well over an hour after the application of my topcoat.

This is the best base coat ever. It fills my ridges on my toe nails and now my polish glides like butter. I kid you not. I have awful ridges on my big toe nails because of anemia. It's so difficult to paint my toe nails because of this issue. Now it's smooth. It looks well done I can also remove the polish without using an entire bottle of remover. It glides out, I am so happy I found this brand.
