How long does foot file last?

Bought mine a year and some months ago. Just realized it on the dull side and I need a new one. So at around a year I'd say! (And I use it every other week, less if I remember to lotion my feet...)

is it fit for elders?

Depends on if they're using it on themselves and what kind of strength they have. It does require a bit of pressure to scrape off the dead skin and it is really sharp. If the accidentally lose control of the tool and get a sensitive area (like I did the first time I used it), they could cut themselves or take a chunk of skin off (I nicked my pinkie toe pretty good and bled pretty good). This is a very large tool so harder to manipulate crevices/small areas (like around the toes).
