Really helpful for wound healing issues on fragile EDS skin!
I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, meaning I have very fragile, reactive skin, and struggle with poor wound healing. I’ve been dealing with an ongoing medical issue involving multiple non-healing wounds, and have tried nearly every type of bandage available on this site. These are some of the only ones that ACTUALLY WORK. They hold my fragile skin together, allowing it to heal and keeping debris out, and provide just enough moisture retention without letting most wounds get too moist*. The adhesive does come in contact with the wound but I find it doesn’t pull at fragile tissue/scabs while still somehow being strong enough to stay on (unlike many silicone bandages). The adhesive also doesn’t seem to trigger allergic reactions the way most normal bandage adhesive does does for me! Overall, as someone with a connective tissue disorder and fragile skin/a reactive immune system/adhesive allergies, I highly recommend these! *One caveat: I’ve found they work best on wounds with minimal exudate (like ones that are just stuck at the non-scabbing—or often-reopening—stage). If I use them on wounds that are producing more than a little bit of fluid, I usually need need a nonadhesive pad between these and the wound to absorb it, if there’s a lot of exudate/fluid I typically need a different sort of bandage entirely, as these will trap some moisture so it can build up if there’s a lot. Also be aware of moisture buildup when sweaty. I find I usually have to change them daily (or multiple times a day) if it’s been a warm night or I’ve been really active due to sweating, otherwise I start getting fungal acne under them. But when they stay dry I’ve been able to leave them in place for a couple days to allow fragile wounds more time to close up.

Great Product and size
Great product. Highly recommend to use over an estrogen patch. Don’t ever have to worry about it coming off. It’s waterproof. Perfect size! Easy to apply and remove with no residue left over. No skin sensitivity.

excellent bandages
I have solar purpura, and that means small skin tears on my forearms and hands periodically. I've worked hard to learn to use the Tegaderm-type bandage, as that helps seal it and heal it quickly without infection. I'm not disappointed in the results! But if you try this method, just have someone who really knows how teach you to apply it, since you want an absolutely air-tight seal.
