I won't give a comprehensive review at this time, since I'm just getting into it. However, a preliminary perusal of the book reveals surprising complexity of the rock song arrangements. The transcribers resort to separating out multi-bar "bass figures" which are referenced where they are to be played in the main flow of the song. What with the repeats and jumps, it's probably not feasible to read the song for playing purposes in real time (page turns). The notes are all there, so memorization is more likely the way to go.

The book itself is fantastic -- complete songs (near as I can tell; I'm relearning the bass after not playing since the mid-80s). The problem is with the Kindle version. I specifically bought it over the print edition so that I could enlarge it to see easier. That's a non-starter: the title and composer text increase as large as you want, but all the music stays at the same size. Doh! Now, I have to spend double to re-purchase the print edition so that I can scan those pages to PDF and properly zoom the pages on my screen. What a pain! Consider yourself warned... just get the hard copy to start with and save yourself the aggravation. UPDATE: Amazon allowed me to return the Kindle copy for credit and purchase the print copy. Review edited to five stars on that edition!

This company does it right. Tab and bass clef. A few differences from the standard recordings, but a must have on your music platform.

One of the best Bible books for music I've purchased in a long time. Lots of great songs. The Tab seem to be spot on for most of the recordings of the music. I'm sure there are differences when the band plays live, but that's immaterial for the person still learning the songs. This book will help you with tempo and proper note selection. Good buy.

I have been inspired and I am sure much resource was used to produce this book.There are so many challenges in transcribing.

great choice of songs.. a big book meaning its a bit larger than a regular A4 - and thus bigger writting etc.. easier to read from afar .. excellent quality... tablature seems to be correct

Easy to follow book. Great as a cheat book instead of using your ear to figure out the basics of a tune.

Sehr gute Transkriptionen in unterschiedlichen Schwierigkeitsgraden. Wem die Songauswahl gefällt, macht hier nichts falsch. Kaufempfehlung!!!

my boy loves his bass book although for a beginner it is a tad difficult to get his head around. however he takes it to his lessons and they go through the songs so he can go jammin with the big boys
