Better than expected and easy to assemble
I needed a way to store more shoes and I didn’t want to have another shelf or shoe rack due to space issues. This over the door shoe rack was ideal because I can hang it on the wall and it is metal. Most I have looked have a fabric or mesh “platform” and I didn’t want that.I actually hung this on the wall and not over the door. I used a 2x4 I had on hand, screwed it into the studs and then hook this over that. And to make sure it won’t wobble, I screwed the “hooks” into the 2x4 and that holds everything in place. Worked out perfectly for the limited space I had. This holds up shoe sizes in 6 and 7 (womens) just fine and I couldn’t be happier. Just be mindful when iassembling this cuz the holes in the middle rod need to line up with the holes on the other sections in order to snap/hook the racks in place. I didn’t and it took 5 extra minutes to just redo them, no big deal. The instructions were easy enough to follow as well.Parts provided were all accounted for and I used a screw driver to tightened all the screws. I used a small plastic hammer (not included) to gently hammer the hooks at end of the racks into the slots. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and found it easy to assembled.

Not good for large adult Crocs
This is perfectly adequate shoe storage. Easy to assemble, sturdy enough. Great value. Most of my shoes, though, are Crocs, size W10 (US). They're too wide to fit comfortably, even alternating with other shoe types. My other shoes are fine in it.I'm staying with 5 stars because I feel like this issue is unique to Croc addicts like me. If I had 1-2 pairs, I could make do, but not with a whole Croc wardrobe. If you wear other wide shoes, be aware.

Bought as a gift
I purchased this for my FIL to replace one that was getting old. He absolutely loves it. It hangs well, is sturdy and fits his shoes well. It looks nice on the door and is very easy to use. He's been pleased with his gift since he received it.

Junk!
This shoe rack should be rated less than one star - it is junk. There are holes that need to lined up and connected together by a screws and bolts. I tried taping it together, only to find the rack and shoes on the floor. The rack is flimsy not strong enough to hold 18 pairs of shoes as advertised. I definitely would not recommend this product. You would be wasting your money. Hopefully Amazon will remove it from their inventory.

Poor design but it can work
I had read the reviews before so I knew the issues involved. The design is poor but for my purposes it works to get my many pairs of sneakers off the floor. If feels rather flimsy but I don't think that's a major issue. The biggest problem is that the hook spacing. They are too close and you can’t put a shoe on each one – unless you have pretty small feet. I partially solved that by using 2 and 3 hooks, leaving one empty on each row. Also, I only but the left shoes on one row and the right shoe on the row right below. That helped to keep the same shapes moving in the same direction instead the left butting into the right since the pair will point inward toward each other. The shoes tend to angle too far forward but they haven’t fallen off. I bent each of the rows back a little and that helped somewhat. Depending on your needs, you can make it work but it is not as good as one would hope. You can always return it if it doesn’t work for your situation.

Very unassuming
Nifty little bugger!Comes in a small package and is SUPER easy to build in a few minutes by yourself (even faster with a friend).Initially, it appears to be flimsy, as it is very lightweight.During assembly it will get pretty sturdy as you attach the "shoe racks" properly. It was pretty satisfying to pop 'em in.YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY (This is good or bad, depending on your point of view):1. I use it as a coat rack and shoe rack, since I don't have that many shoes. (6 pairs is plenty for me).2. There is also enough clearance where it will encompass your doorknob, but leaving it still operable. If you don't set it correctly, it could block your doorknob and/or locking mechanism.Personally, I don't mind it, but it did take some adjusting to find the "sweet spot".3. It has SO much clearance, that I actually left my old door coat hangar on the door with it. They don't even touch.Again, not a problem for me, *BUT* the door opens about 85% of the way now. (Due to the nature of the door location/wall design.

Over the door shoe rack.
Good quality.Assembly is not complicated.Although strong hands are definitely needed for assembling.Measure the width of your door.I didn't.Measure the depth behind the door where the shoes will stick out.I didn't.My closet door is too narrow.Every bedroom door opens against a wall. Not enough depth.Even the laundry room door opens against a wall.Sigh.Don't mess up.Measure!!I'm giving this shoe rack 5 Stars because it's worth it.
