La historia es fácil de entender, pero deja enseñanzas profundas sobre la vida, el destino y las señales que a veces ignoramos. Es corto, pero cada página te hace pensar. Ideal para cualquier edad y perfecto para releer en distintos momentos de la vida. Sin duda, un libro que vale la pena tener. Totalmente recomendado.

Beware: it’s not the edition pictured. However, it is a really nice edition. It’s the 10th anniversary edition and the cover feels like suede! It’s so soft and nice to the touch. The pages inside are super smooth and thick / nice quality paper. Wish it was the pretty edition pictured but I’m really happy with the book. It arrived in perfect condition as well.

スペイン語翻訳版はその前に読んだ英語翻訳版より十倍感動しました。仏語翻訳版で読んだ友人も同じことを言っていました。 ＃現在の日本語翻訳版は、英語からの重訳です。 スペイン語版（＝オリジナルのポルトガル語版）と英語版は下記の二つの点でかなり違っています。 (1) 改ページ（つまり章がえ）や一行あけ（叙述に一呼吸いれている）の位置が、スペイン語版と英語版ではあきらかに違っています。英語版ではスペイン語版にある改ページや一行あけをせずそのまま記述がつづけられているケースが多くみられました。 (2) スペイン語版にはあるのに英語版ではあきらかに削除されていた文章が最低7ヶ所ある。 例：スペイン語版のP45にあった「El muchacho detestaba los moros. Ellos eran quienes habi'an trai'do a los gitanos.（少年はムーア人を嫌っていた。彼らがジプシーたちを連れてきたからだ）」という文章が、英語版では削除されていました。 ＃主人公がこのあとアフリカに渡りムーア人の末裔たちに助けられ旅をつづけるのをおもえば、削除が適当だったのかかなりどうか疑問です。 スペイン語版を好きな理由： (a) スペイン語版の改ページや一行あけの位置がこの小説が本来持っている呼吸とぴったりあっていたため、英語版ではあまり感じることができなかった物語の余韻を心から楽しむことができた。 (b) 英語版と違い時間をかけて読んだため（私のスペイン語力が劣っているため）、数年に渡る主人公の少年の魂の遍歴を時の流れと同様にゆっくりと味わうことができた。 (c) 一日一章のペースで読んだため北アフリカの砂漠の景色とそこに住む人々の意識に自然と馴染み、日本人が普段身近に感じることができない一神教を信仰している人達のものの考え方や感じ方、そして砂漠に生きるという感覚を味わえた。

J'ai apprécié ce livre car il est facile à lire pour une personne ayant un niveau moyen d'espagnol. La leçon a en retiré est intéressante.
