My sweet, sweet savior!
TL;DR: It's sweet enough and there's really no aftertaste. It's natural vs. some chemical concoction. It's powdery and works well in almost everything and finally, it just tastes good! I highly recommend it.____I'm trying to change my dietary lifestyle. Sugar is really bad, plain and simple but makes almost everything taste good/better. Diabetes runs in my family. I really don't want to go there, but I'm also an "I want to live my life" kinda guy. I don't want to eat grass and nuts because I'm scared to eat what I really want like ice cream, cake, candy, pie, etc. (all the sweets!). I absolutely detest the aftertaste of pretty much every non-calorie/low-calorie sweetener and I'm terrified of the chemical ones. When I heard of Allulose, I begrudgingly tried it because most people claim that it tastes good and has no aftertaste, but when Stevia came out everyone was like "ohh it tastes good, etc.", it doesn't!! I was so delightfully surprised. While it is a bit less sweet in comparison to regular sugar and way less sweet vs. some of the keto/diabetes friendly stuff (monk fruit, stevia, etc.), not having any aftertaste for me means the world. It's also powdery vs. granular so it mixes into things wonderfully. So far I've made ice cream, egg custard/pudding/flan and cheesecake with it and they are all delicious. There are 2.5 cons so far, first of all, it's expensive compared to regular sugar but worth it for better health imho. The second thing is (and this is a crappy one, lol) that if you are heavy handed with it and end up using 'too much' at once or consuming over a given amount for a certain time period (based on your body), just stay home or at least prepare for repeated potty visits. I heaped 2 tablespoons into a 24oz cup of coffee frappe I made and had to use the bathroom about 4 times within ~12 hours but your mileage may vary and this may not happen to you. Suffice it to say, 5g is a normal serving and 54g per day is supposed to be trouble free at normal body weight. I'm a big guy and it totally blindsided me as I figured I could manage more than just 30g. Finally, the .5 is, while it's natural, it's still so new (to market as of only ~2015) that we really don't know if it's doing something funky inside of us. We know what all the sugars do and are capable of as we've been eating it forever. The short term results do seem to outweigh the potential long term 'issues' though, at least for the time being.I highly recommend it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product has low impact on blood sugar levels, tastes great, and with no bad side effects as with artificial sweeteners.

Sweetness without the Guilt!
The reason I think this is a really great product is because it's plant-based and provides the same sweetness as 2 tsp of sugar, without any artificial sweeteners. It's a zero-calorie sugar substitute that can be added to various foods. The 17oz bag for refills is very convenient and the fact that it's made with stevia leaf extract reassures me of its quality. It's the perfect way to enjoy sweetness without any guilt!

Best sugar substitute anywhere
This stuff is amazing. If you drink, coffee or tea, and you hate how sugar substitutes change the taste and give you that bitter or weird taste in your mouth, this does none of that. It’s the closest to sugar that I’ve ever tasted. A little bit less sweet than regular sugar, but sweet nonetheless.

Very Disappointed!
I decided to try allulose because it is supposed to help control blood sugar. Allulose is normally carb free and the Truvia package says the only ingredient is Allulose but the package also says it has 11 carbs. Their website says that Erythritol is added to their sweeteners and that the carbs are not processed by the body because they are sugar alcohols. Allulose is supposed to be sweeter than sugar but the addition of Erythritol lowers the sweetness. I'm not sure why Truvia is so deceptive but I'm sure I won't be buying it again. Very disappointed!

Great alternative to erythritol
Allulose tastes a lot like erythritol but without the weird cooling effect. I switched to it after a 2023 study suggested erythritol might increase the risk of blood clots.

TRUVIA Allulose – A Game-Changer for Keto-Friendly Sweetener
The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased TRUVIA Allulose through Amazon, and I couldn’t be more pleased! The delivery was prompt, and the packaging arrived in perfect condition, ensuring the product was fresh and ready to use. This allulose sweetener dissolves quickly, making it incredibly easy to work with in both hot and cold recipes. Unlike some other sugar alternatives, it has no bitterness or aftertaste, which is a huge plus! I’ve used it to make caramel sauce and flan, and the results were fantastic—smooth, rich, and just the right level of sweetness. If you’re looking for a keto-friendly, zero-calorie sweetener that mimics sugar without drawbacks, TRUVIA Allulose is a must-try. Highly recommended!
