Really really really good, enjoying the story and the artwork big time
Love the way the story plays out. Showing the start and then brining it back all the way around. Can't wait to see where they go in the 2nd volume and other characters introduced and the ones we've met gettin fleshed out more. Really enjoy it and very different for a manga in the sense it's about vikings and Iceland and England

Goated Series
First of all, the quality of the product is very nice. I love the hardcovers, the pages are high quality and I’ve been able to read the entire series without even creasing the spine while also being perfectly ergonomic for books with 300-400 pages. They have taken top shelf to my manga display and it’s AMAZING for the price point, I mean you just can’t beat it.Secondly, the content is just GOATED to be real. The story is just hands down amazing, Vinland Saga is a top tier shounen series and I highly recommend it to anyone. The translation is on point, the art is immaculate, character development and the relationships you develop with characters can be honestly goosebump worthy. I turned into a HUGE fan and I will probably reread it over and over. So if you’re looking for a new series to get into please let it be Vinland Saga! I promise you will not be disappointed! On top of that, the shipping is really quick, you won’t have to wait long.

Great manga
I've bought this manga in two different occasions as a gift. I really like the story and I recommended without a second thought.

Pretty Good.
I wasn't sure about this one, as I'd never head of it. Amazon suggested it to me based upon my buying history, and I was intrigued. I did a little research, saw some reviews, and ordered it. Read it within a few hours. It's fascinating because it's fiction with some limited historical accuracy. It's much like Lone Wolf and Cub in that respect (some historical accuracy), though both manga are entirely different. Vikings instead of ronin, yet still makes use of similar themes; honor, revenge, assassins, etc. But the characters and source material are a nice change of pace and an interesting twist on manga.I liked it so much that I ordered the second and third books as well. Some compare it to Berserk but I feel that the series are nothing alike. Berserk focuses more on shock and the supernatural, while this has little or none of that. Maybe the themes change as the series continues, as it's my understanding that the content went from shonen to seinen in the first year. Some of the images are almost Miura-quality in detail though, so I expect cool things from Yakimura as it progresses. I've always wanted to read his Planetes, though it's out of print. Maybe I'll try to source used copies.

Would give five stars but knocked one off for the book’s condition
I loved the anime and I heard the manga is even better. I was really hyped to get this book and I intend to collect the series. I was a bit disappointed when I got this, not because of the story, but because the book itself is kinda beat up. The pages are wavy which isn’t super noticeable when you’re reading but the book doesn’t close all the way flat unless you squish it between other books. The corners are also a little beat up. I really like the story and the actual cover is pretty good quality. The pages themselves are fine and I love the art and the story. I’m not sure if i’ll return it or not but i’m considering it because the shelves i’ll put the books on are open and this is the first volume so it’ll be on the end which means it’ll probably stick out since it doesn’t close all the way which is just frustrating.

It’s perfect
It came in perfect condition, brand new. No scratches, stains, not even a single piece of dust on it. It’s so spotless in fact that I had to dust and clean out my entire bookshelf just to place it on it. Will definitely be reading it soon, and will be buying the next couple of copies as well.As for the story? Well, I’ve already watched both seasons of the anime and I can assure you this manga is absolutely life changing. It’s beautiful, one of a kind. It’s worthy of reading a thousand times.

A really good manga
Read it, it's darn good, story, characters, art, it's all there. Loved how this starts, and it ends with revenge, just read it.

High quality hardcover. Viking epic. Yes, please.
My first impression was that the book quality is stellar. This is a hardcover omnibus with nice paper and a very cool cover; you can see that the primary colors just pop!Like other medieval, sword-swinging manga, it starts slow with a focus on action. Fight scenes are clear and easy to follow, and the combat is competent. The story develops as a historical epic about Vikings and a philosophical tale of war, slavery, and vengeance.Thorfinn crazes for revenge in a stark contrast to his father Thors, who has come to believe we have no enemies. Since Thors is a foil to our main character, he drives many of the ethical questions throughout this book, and I find him to be the chief page-turner.I highly recommend this to fans of historical fiction and warrior stories, and I am excited to jump into the rest of the adventure.
