OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Utensil Holder 8.4" x 4.75" x 6.25"

When I started looking at kitchen utensil holders, I found an avalanche of holders available...all shapes, all sizes, all different price ranges, all everything from stainless steel to plastic. THEN, I started second guessing what I would put in a holder as I have a drawer full of spoons gizmos' gadgets, etc. If you cook, you know what I mean. I finally got my game together and did three things. Looked at what I had in my utensil drawer, looked at what I use most, and looked at what I rarely used if ever. THEN I began to look at the shape and size of a holder. For the AMOUNT of items I have, this OXO was perfect. It SHAPE (elongated) and height were perfect for holding more items than a square or round holder.The base is a high grade plastic that will take some wear and tear. But what sold me was that the base comes off, allowing for cleaning of the holder itself. Plus, my other half will wash a utensil, not quite dry it and "shove it" into the holder. Water has to go somewhere and instead of pooling on the bottom and rusting a non-stainless holder, this OXO allows any water to pool in the bottom tray which of course I find and growl at my other half. Another nice feature is the stainless part. I was cooking (us usual and out of self defense), had moved the OXO around a bit and noted my greasy fingerprints on the holder. A quick spray with some glass cleaner and viola!, instant clean. Is it right for you? My suggestion is do what I did. Take ALL your kitchen utensils out and choose the ones you really use, don't use, and just plain want to get rid of. If you have 10-12 items, this unit will hold them very nicely and it is high enough (deep?) to keep the utensils from sagging out of the holder. Do keep in mind however that not all utensils will go in this holder and you will probably still be using some drawer space for ???? But overall you will love just reaching for the (whatever?) instead of having to rummage in a drawer. AND, the stainless steel just flat looks good on the counter (versus the ceramic jar with the cutsey wootsey chicken) Do I recommend this unit? Yes, this is a DEFINITE BUY.

I generally think of OXO as a reliable manufacturer of kitchen tools at an afordable price, and this fits the bill. It's well made and the detachable bottom plastic pan makes cleaning easier than it would be otherwise. My one gripe keeping this from 5 stars is that it's just not quite tall enough, and as a result, the kitchen utensils flay out a bit like a fan and as a result: 1) The utensils hang over and can interact with other tall items on the counter (cooking oils, balsamic, etc.), 2) The appearance of the fanned out tools is less aesthetic and appear more disorderly than they actually are. All in all, good product, just not perfect.

I have a small kitchen with limited cabinet and drawer space so when I needed a place to hang my favorite big frying pan I bought Scrollwork Design Wall Mounted Black Metal Pot Hanger / Cooking Utensils Rack / Kitchen Shelf - MyGift® . This has a shelf and I wanted to clean out one of my drawers since it use to frustrate me when I was cooking to have to dig through a whole drawer full of utensils to find what I wanted. I don't have a lot of counter space (although it would look great on there as well) so this I thought would be a perfect solution since it fits on the shelf. It is big and holds a lot of utensils without falling over and looks very stylish. It is easy to clean and although I don't put wet utensils in it, the bottom comes off to empty any drips out. It is partitioned inside (not removable) which adds to the stability of it, keeps utensils upright, and have never had anything fall out of it or had it tip over. I love it! Update: I bought another one for my counter. I love them!

Great product, ease of use

This is an excellent product. Holds tongs, spoons, ladles, knives, etc. 3 different compartments. Also a slide out bottom to remove any dirt or moisture. Very happy with the purchase. Quality is top notch.

O produto chegou em perfeito estado! Ele cabe muitos talheres e utensílios. Quanto ao adesivo que muitos reclamam aqui, basta usar um secador que ele sai facilmente e não deixa resíduo de cola. Também foi o melhor preço do mercado na época.
