It is a nice kettle. 4 to 5 stars if they give us English Instructions. However using it is simple. See my time it takes to get hot water test below. Seems a lot of thought is put into the design. Compact, yet a little heavier than I expected but not a problem for travel. The Chinese company that is selling this kettle, is not realizing that instructions in English Language are necessary for most non-speaking Chinese people. The controls for the kettle are in Chinese as well. Because I do not understand them, I may not be using all its features the kettle was designed for. That all said, I like the design and believe it is an excellent quality item and useful for my trips overseas and in the USA.If the information regarding this kettle is credible, to be believed? – the materials it is made of are supposed to be BPA Free, CE, RoHS Certified. Which means, it is safe to boil water and drink from it.The temperature reading is in Centigrade. 100 C is boiling, but you can drink a hot beverage starting at 95 up to 100.I ran some tests to get to 100 C based on amount of water verse time it takes to get to 100 C. TESTED IN MY HOME, AC 120 Volts, 60 Cycles. Results may vary in other countries.Bottom Line: AC 120 Volts / 10 Ounces Cold Water / takes approximately 6 minutes to boil. Love my little kettle.Went for this one after looking at a lot and reading all reviews. We recently took it to Portugal, with our own coffee and coffee whitener.So nice to have a decent coffee in our room every morning

I opened the package, admired the products' ingenious design, and immediately requested a return. The box contains three products: the collapsible kettle, a collapsible cup, and a compact universal plug adapter with surge suppressor, plus two packets of what Google Translate tells me is citric acid powder.The plug adapter appears to work, provided you lock the blades into the extended position.The cup looks perfectly usable.I didn't try the kettle. I don't speak Chinese and decided it would be a bad idea to use an appliance with only Chinese instructions and buttons.
