Durability, comfort & length make these the best socks I've owned.

Normally I don't write reviews, but I had to say something about these socks. Let me start off by saying I am a 6'1" 290 lb man who wears a size 13EEEE boot. So as you can imagine I have very big calves, I like my socks to go over my calves but have never really been able to find one that would either go over my calf or stay up. The best i could find was a tube sock but they would never stretch out enough to go over my calf so I would wind up stretching them by hand but by doing that would end up by ruining the top of the sock and therefor they would never stay up and I would end up pulling up my socks constantly all day long. So I was quite surprised to find these socks on amazon, I ordered 3 pair not knowing if they were the same as all the other socks I had. To my surprise they stretched easily over my big calves and go all the way up to my knees and stay up ALL day long without to having to pull them up constantly. I liked them so much I ordereed another 3 pair that just came in today. These will be the only socks I will be ordering from now on, I went thru my sock drawer and thru out all the other stretched out socks. I don't know how long they will last because I've only had them for a week, but they are a nice thick sock.

My husbands favorite socks. He is tall and hates that most socks only come halfway up his calf then slide down. He loves these because they are taller and stay up. He has been using these for many years and will not even try something else he loves them that much.

Socks fit great,was looking for a over the calf , durable work sock that stays over the calf all day and I found it. Will be ordering more!!

This is an updated review .... I purchased these in Feb 2016 and this is now August 2017 .... So we have more than a year of wearing / washing / drying .... These socks are GREAT ! They do come up over my calf to just barely below the knee .... and even after a year of washes they still stay up ! All day ! The only problem I had with these was one pair of pull-on boots which love to "eat" socks and these faired no better than others when confronted by them. But that was the ONLY problem I have had .... These are still thick like new and still soft like new and except for ONE sock the elastic hasn't stretched out at all ..... the ONE that has stretched is certainly still wearable but one can see that it is stretched out at the very top ... about a half of an inch when laying flat alongside another sock. Again these are great socks and to tell you that I put my money where my mouth is .... I just ordered more to replace some other brand socks which are worn out !

These are super-nice, high-quality socks. They are really soft and very comfortable. They do run a bit big. I'm 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and I have to fold the top of the sock over on itself 1 inch to fit. This length does NOT cause any discomfort, so it's not at all a detriment to the product. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more when I require additional pairs in the future. 02/22/19 Update: Do you notice how many of the reviews complain that the socks are too high or too low? Perhaps the reason for this is that the socks differ in length from one pair to another and occasionally between the right and left of the same pair. I recently purchased a new supply of these socks (12 pair). My hope in buying semi-bulk was that they might be from the same lot or production run. It did not work. All 12 pairs differ in overall length. Most are within 1½ inches, but two sets are 2 to 3 inches shorter than the others, and in another set, there is a 4-inch difference between the left sock and the right sock. This inconsistent sizing adds time and causes an unhealthy annoyance when sorting the clean laundry. Is this a first world problem? Perhaps, but the black versions of these socks (purchased a few years ago) are all exactly the same length. The new socks have a moderate amount of thickness to them. While not as stout as some of my previous purchases, I find them a happy medium. Not so thick as to cause shoes to feel uncomfortable, but warm enough for winter when lounging around the house. I also read a few complaints about the coarseness of the sock against the skin. Do what I do. I wear all of my socks inside-out. I'm serious. It feels great. Depending on your work environment, you may have to trim some stray threads to improve their appearance, but it's worth it.

My husband loves these socks! These are the only socks he will wear. They are very well made and last a long time. I am very happy with my purchase.
