I don’t like wearing hats but purchased this one on Amazon before a mid-summer trip to Florida. I wanted some protection from the sun, especially the back of my neck. I didn’t plan to wear it much, except when I really needed a sun screen. But I wound up wearing this handy, light, comfortable hat every day. I have a big head, but the hat fits comfortably and has a pull if a tighter fit is desired. The chin strap kept my hat from flying away on more than one breezy boat ride. But what really stands out are the tiny perforations around the edge of the hat, keeping my head much cooler and less sweaty than when wearing a ball cap. It’s even made a trip through my washing machine with no harm. It’s light and folds easily for your backpack. I still don’t like hats, but I love this one.

Works fine as sun hat

This hat is perfect. I used it while on vacation in Florida fishing. The headband is adjustable (7 1/2 for me) and it’s very comfortable. Ventilation is excellent and kept the sun off of my head and face. The chin strap was sufficient to keep it on my head while ripping across the Gulf of Mexico. It is an excellent value and quality product. The only complaint I would have is that it came folded in half and the brim was creased on both sides so I had to steam it to get the crease out.

Pros Light weight, adjustable head band, vented, wide but not excessive brim, cheap enough to loose (rafting or in the ocean, etc) Cons Head depth leaves small or no space for air gap (maybe order a larger size?) Shipped folded (as noted by other reviewers) the fold was at a 45 deg angle to the lanyard so looked odd as hell when placed on head. Steam ironing removed 95% of crease. Judgement: functional & easy on the wallet If fashion is important, get a Tilley

Perfect for shade and keeping cool. It’s very stylish looking too. Very easily to pack as it lays flat.
