Second scales this week that have both defected or been faulty. £200 spent and still can’t get decent scales

The plug is not UK standard and came with an adapter. The lead is short so you need to have the weigh machine near the socket. Also when the adaptor comes off the plug it obviously switch’s off coz the two are not clicking well together. It is not sensitive to the 0.1g. I have been using it for a long time but it’s not up to what it promises. And for me the worst is it’s inability to respond to 0.1g changes. I.e if I am adding liquid with the pipette drop by drop it makes no reaction. So yeah would not recommend it. For you to get a better one you would have to buy something more expensive. When I requested if they had a longer plug so I didn’t have to have it close to the wall their reply was use an extension.

I designed, constructed, and ran a barley fodder growth experiment at the Biosphere 2 with CO2, light, temperature, relative humidity, and wet biomass recorded for 10 days. All data but the biomass were automatically captured with digital monitors. The biomass was recorded manually, once every 8 hours. Therefore it was imperative that the digital scales be a) accurate, b) highly sensitive, and c) consistent such that at no time could the display sleep or the scales reset, else we would lose our baseline from which we monitored the growth rate. Three of the four scales performed flawlessly, displaying values withing a few grams of the other grow beds, all of which were initiate within a few grains of barley from each other at 800g each. The fourth was off by a roughly 100 grams a few days into the experiment. My concern was that the discrepancy would be non-linear, but instead it held constant which implies a forgotten calibration, not an issue the scale itself. The only overall issue I have with these scales is that each comes with a battery compartment, enabling them to run without external power. However, if powered-on from battery, they will not switch to A/C power. And if powered-on with A/C, they will not fail-over to battery. This seems like such an easy thing to enable for the ultimate lab scale, yet this is not the case. So, we ran entirely from A/C wherein our A/C power source was itself on back up power (which did in fact save the data twice in the ten days run). Overall, I highly recommend this product, from packaging to easy of use to implementation in the lab.

Sehr gute verständliche und kurze Bedienungsanleitung ! Waage macht das, was sie machen soll und tariert sich eigenständig, was gut ist !!! Ausrichtung über vorhandene Libelle an Waage ist sehr ungenau. Luftblase ist mittig und das zu wiegende Objekt, rollt hinunter. Wasserwaage muss zusätzlich vorhanden sein.
