Feel The Noize: Greatest Hits UK

I am glad I spent the extra coins to get the U.K. version of Slade's Greatest Hits as all the reviews state that the U.K. version is superior in the re-mastering of these songs & what I hear is great!!! Slade never received the recognition in the U.S.A. that they deserved. I really don't understand why because big hair bands took some of their song's to great success without changing them much at all! If there was a model band that Rob Reiner used when creating the imaginary band Spinal Tap he very well may have used Slade as they always play with the volume on 11 !!! I heard that said while watching a documentary of the band & thought it was a very accurate way to describe this quirky band. If your not a fan already this is the perfect C.D. to introduce you to this under appreciated band. Maybe they were just ahead of their time? This C.D. spans decades of the bands career but the songs still have a timeless appeal & that may be the fun factor! You can hear it in every song these guys are having fun & loving their jobs!! I can't wait for my kids to hear this C.D. I am sure they are going to love it, spawning a new generation of Slade fans. If you love bands like Badfinger , Sweet or Trooper then don't hesitate to purchase this C.D. . If you love that classic 70's sound or 80's heavy metal then don't hesitate to purchase this C.D. Slade definitely foreshadowed the Big Hair band sound of the 80's. Other artist that thought highly of this band were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Ozborne & Oasis & Quiet Riot! Slade's songs are fun & infectious & stand the test of time! As with any band that had great success spanning decades 1 C.D. of greatest hits is little more than an introduction to the bands music. Slade's body of work contains many great songs that are not on their Greatest Hits C.D. In the U.K. they are highly respected & scored many #1's & chart toppers as mentioned before they were only a blip on the radar in the U.S.A., maybe they were to happy for the times I really don't know why they didn't take off here. I suspect once you warm up to this C.D. you might be curious to listen to their other albums to see what we missed out on in the states. Noddy Holder has one of the best rock & roll voices I have ever heard bar none!!! This greatest hits prompted me to purchase Slades Box set! It was worth every penny!!!! Absolutely no regrets Slades box set delivers & now I understand why they are so huge in the U.K. !!!!!

Way before anyone heard of Quiet Riot, these guys made all these hit songs famous. Mama weer all crazee now, Cum On Feel The Noize. Noddy Holder and the Band Slade were first introduced to me back in the early 70's by a high school freind, when they first charted here in the states. This is a great album, and these are the guys that made those songs famous. Slade still tours to this day, and Noddy Holder is still out there in front. They've released over 30 albums and have one of Britain's favorite Christmas songs, Merry Xmas Everybody. Want a collectible, this is it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this album. I only knew (or thought I knew) 2 songs (My Oh My and Run Run Away) on it. Turns out I knew a lot more. A very good band with a great vocalist can never go wrong (or at least it shouldn't). A good album to listen to while working out or even just sitting around (although you won't be for long).

You probably remember Slade from the 70's with the high-heeled boots, stovepipe hats and mis-spelled songs. This is a great collection of some of their best-known songs. Slade was HUGE in the U.K. but not big over here until Run Runaway and My Oh My in the early 80's. Pair this with Slade Alive ! and you have yourself your fix of Slade.This is an easy 5-star pick.

I had never even heard of this band until someone I know forced me to listen to them. I didn't like this CD much the first time or two that I listened to it, but now I just love it. It's been in my car CD player nonstop for about 7 months. I now know every word to every song. I think they're great, and they inspired other great rock groups of the 80s (which imo was the best decade for music).

This great collection has everything from "Far, Far, Away" to "Run Run Away." It's probably the most definitive greatest hits package for Slade.If you just have a passing fancy for the band or want all of their major songs on one disc, I recommend you getting this CD. The track listing says it all.

This take me back to my teen years and I loved this band and their unique sound. I played it in my car while taking my nephews to a game recently and they had never heard of Slade until hearing this CD. Their response was incredible! For 3 hours all they wanted to hear was Slade and now they have downloaded many of their hits to their I-phones. The audio remix is almost perfect although a couple of tunes are too low in the beginning. This is a must have!

I first saw Slade on the Midnight Special back in the 70’s, bought one album and never heard from them again. Then, 40+ years later, I found this album. Love it!!! A great reunion for me.
