BulkSupplements contacted me offering to send me a product of my choice in exchange for a review of the product within 14 days.I chose Vitamin B5 to help with adult acne based on reviews I've read on other websites.I don't know if what I have would be classified as "adult acne;" but whatever it is (relatively continuous small breakouts), it started when I turned 27. Prior to that, I NEVER had issues with acne - even as a teenager.Anyway, after years of experimenting with everything imaginable to clear my skin, I figured I'd give this a try.So far, I would like to believe that I see slight improvement; however, I don't believe it's been long enough to make an informed decision. I'm simply giving BulkSupplements what they asked for - a review within 14 days. Hopefully I'll remember to give an update after a month of continuous use.Tastes terrible, by the way. But I expected this much.UPDATE: 5/09/2014I've been taking this product consistently since I first received it and even purchased an additional 100 grams in an effort to be both hopeful and patient for skin results.Although I have not noticed any drastic improvements, I *want to believe* that it's working. My pores may be slightly less noticeable. And I may have slightly less serious breakouts. I have noticed that I haven't had any cystic nodules pop up since I've been taking B5 - so that's a plus. I think that drastic improvements may be unrealistic and it's possible that the improvements happen over time... say, three months or so? Ergo, I will continue to take more/purchase more. I suppose patience is key when awaiting change.UPDATE: 7/06/2014Still taking the B-5 consistently. I can finally see a difference. My face isn't 100% clear, but it is by far the clearest it has been since my skin troubles started. I am officially impressed.I will absolutely recommend this product - for those who are willing to be patient for amazing results.Good luck!

Haven't tried it yet, but I'm sure it will work just as well as the other pantothenic powder I've been using.Just a heads up - I took some pretty crude weight measurements for the powder - the numbers I got were ~1.7g for 1/2 tsp and ~6.2g for 1 tbsp. Those would be equal to ~850mg and ~1000mg for 1/4 tsp, respectively (obviously a big difference between those numbers, but you get the idea). This is somewhat higher than the listed weight for 1/4 tsp, which is 748mg, and some of the powder got stuck on the sides of the funnel and spoons, so my measurements were probably slightly low.Lastly, it took me like 5 minutes to correctly line up the seal to close the bag. Probably just me though.I've been taking around 6.3 a day at every meal, which adds up to somewhere around 19g a day. It definitely has been working well to keep my acne to a minimum (I've been using another brand, but like I said, pantothenic is pantothenic. I'll update this if, for some reason, this powder doesn't work as good as my previous brand). I actually previously had my acne pretty well under control by adhering to a strict diet of eating only vegetables, meat, fish, and nuts, but I got sick of that and knew that it would become difficult in college, so I opted for an easier way out.Major tip: Mix it with warm water if it's turning to a white glob in your glass! The warmer the water, the faster it will dissolve! If you're taking as much as I am, you might want it borderline hot!

I made a spray with distilled water and this B5 powder for my hair and skin. This made my baby-fine, rather thin hair feel fuller and thicker. At first it was a little too sticky so I added a bit more distilled water. I keep it refrigerated, although I don't know if that's necessary. Using it on my skin, I've found that spraying it on just BEFORE I moisturize (with HA) does not make my skin sticky at all. It makes it look firm and sort of rubbery like younger skin. After just using this for about five days, my skin feels tighter and looks smoother even before I spray it on, so it seems to me that I'm getting actual improvement in the health of my skin rather than just temporary improvement in the appearance when it's fresh on my face.I recommend it and will keep using it as long as the improvement continues. I may cut it back to 2-3 times a week for maintenance if it reaches a point where the tightening and smoothing seem to level off. I'm really liking the results.I've made this twice now so it stays fresh and potent: 1/8 tsp. powder to 3/8 cup distilled water, shake well, then into the fridge. I shake it before using. I use it morning and night after cleansing, moisturize immediately with Home Health HA moisturizer I buy from Amazon. Be sure to close your eyes when you spray!

2/12/15: I have yet to fully review the product since I've only been taking it for a few weeks now. I'll get the ball rolling today - so far so good (4 stars, for now). I've been suffering with cystic acne (I am a 26-year-old healthy female - I work out and eat clean as much as possible). I've been on all types of antibiotics and topical creams for the last few years ever since it started. Adult acne SUCKS! Period. WHY ME? I wanted out. I was SO sick of the monthly eight-minute, $75 dermatologist visits, pill popping-cream applying agendas. My acne would come back every time I stopped taking the antibiotics anyway. I knew there HAD to be a safer, cheaper and more natural way to get rid of my pimples. After implementing this powder into my morning routine, I have seen WONDERFUL improvements with my skin. My face is not as oily and cystic pimples aren't forming like they use to. I plan to review with full details, before/after photos, morning/night remedies soon. I am so happy that I came across this product but wish I knew about it sooner! I have never been happier and hope this supplement is THE ANSWER to getting rid of my adult acne! Thank god for Amazon and real reviews from other customers...otherwise I would have never found this. Hope my feedback helps someone else who is in the same position...please give it a try!
