I received my item and it was in good condition, but once the mechanic installed it, it was not in working condition. Plus, it would only turn to one side. I had to pay the mechanic again to remove it so I could return it. It was a big waste of time.

Hello Amazon, About a month ago I purchased a Cardone 27-7560 re-manufactured power steering Gear box. But today it started to leak power steering fluid from the seal for the Pittman arm shaft. I'am am very disappointed in this purchase from Amazon. I now need to replace this unit which required a lot of work to install. I would appreciate it you could help me with a return and replacement with another. please keep me inform. thank you chuck Johnson 😠

I have installed this steering box in my 1997 Jeep TJ with 37" tires. I had a lot of play in my old steering box. It was a chore to drive the Jeep on the highway with the old steering box. What a difference this Cardone steering box made. Soooo much better now. It steers so good now. Only time will tell how long this steering box will last. The steering box looks like it's brand new right out of the box. Comes with new O-rings for the power steering hoses. I thought it cost effective replacement vs. new steering box. I'm very satisfied customer of Cardone.

Installed this on an AMC Eagle SX4, this how it should have came from the factory. Box was tight and did not leak, unlike a reman from a different brand I had bought prior. Best of all this has the faster turn ratio meaning that the car has a much much tighter and more direct steering feel. Very happy overall.

So, I installed this over the course of a friday afternoon on my MJ Jeep Comanche. All in all, I could've probably done the entirety of the physical labor in 1-2 hours if I was familiar with the process, but I wanted to make sure I had done a good job flushing the power steering system, which I fuddled with for a couple of hours. I started around 11am, and finished around 4pm. Keep in mind, this could've gone much faster had I done it before. BUT.... it could've also gone much slower had I not hit every bolt with penetrating oil a couple of days before attempting it, which kept the process smooth. The unit itself comes filled with a white type of oil substance. I'm not sure what it was, but it made its way into my power steering pump. It didn't appear to affect it, but it's something I took note of. For the price, it's hard to find a better deal. Just make sure you flush the system, or they'll void your warranty.

Fit my 2000 TJ perfectly. Hardest part of install is removing pitman arm, do not use a cheap puller

Installed leaks at the seal at the pitman arm contacted Cardone no warranty because purchased at Amazon if I purchased at Napa Cardone says you have a 1 year warranty so on the phone with Amazon again 5 customer service reps finally thank you Amazon gave my money back and told me to keep or through out so my advice don’t buy Cardone steering box

Worked great on my 95 Jeep YJ (yes YJ, even though it's listed as 97-02 TJ) Fits the YJ perfectly the only difference is that the YJ uses 4 mounting bolts and this steering gear mounts with 3. They line up identically.
