Claey's Natural Horehound Drops, 6-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12)

These Candies are good, my Dad had them when we were kids, but remember the flavor was stronger. They must have changed the recipe over the years.

These are great if you have a scratchy throat and they taste really good.

Everything was fine

Our mom grew up during the depression and she shared tons of natural cures with her daughters. One of these is the use of horehound for a dry, scratchy throat or pestering cough. I have a nervous cough. When I get overly concerned about something, my body responds with a dry irritating cough. My sister is a smoker and had to wear a mask at work all day (food production plant) and she gets a very dry mouth which causes the cough. Pop one of these drops (look like candy, taste like rootbeer) in your mouth and you instantly feel the relief. It is just like a hard candy but the juice helps with the dry itchy scratchy throat. This was my 2nd order of these and will continue to do so.

need to have a little more horehound flavor

I had been searching for horehound candy for some time before I found this. I'm glad to have done so, because it is an excellent version of the candy I used to love as a kid. Not quite the same, but close and relatively inexpensive. Highly recommended if you like horehound.

I read the reviews. It sounded like this was a 'natural product' with lots of the healing, soothing flavor of horehound. Wrong.Its all sugar (not that I did not expect sugar) and no flavor .And, now I am stuck with 12 packages and I could not even give away the open package.
