I've used contigo water bottles from some years now and quality has always been impeccable. ordered this as my desk tea mug as I like to sip hot occasionally and needed an alternative to pouring a cup from the thermos every time. Positives 1) It keeps tea hot for several hours (works as advertised) 2) it is easy to use as the sipper is functional and does not leak 3) it is possible to pur from this into a cup if you so wish to Negatives 1) you have to be careful of the temperature of the liquid you pour in if its too hot you will burn you lips when you sip. you can sip hotter from a cup but because this pours out of a spout temperature needs to be cooler than a cup 2) there is no way to leave it open to cool off a bit 3) Be careful when you open having kept it hot for some time there is a pressure release and it can spray some (few droplets) scalding hot steam and water.. always open away from you first. would have been great if pressing the button opened the air release first before the sipping spout so that this problem did not exist.

I carry this everywhere! It's great keeps the liquid hot, and once you get the hang of using it without scalding oneself it's indispensable. Plus steel is easy to clean and maintain. We all need to do our bit for the environment, stop using takeaway cups, carry your own Travel mug and water bottles cheers

I have spent many hours researching travel mugs, so I could finally have a leak free hot latte every morning when I commute to work. This was the winner. With this leak free AUTO SEAL mechanism , a Mercedes of coffee mugs. It was expensive too, minimum £25 so I decided to wait an order one on AMAZON US half the price including the delivery . I even ordered extra one for my partner. While I was waiting I bought a budget HIWILL Double Walled Vacuum Insulated Travel Coffee Mug, for ten pounds. I chose the smaller size for my son and was using it while waiting for Contigo. Yes it was too small for a large latte but leak proof and hot for hours!!! When contigo 2.0 arrived it was impressive but heavy. The auto seal works well and it's easy to clean. It's bigger than Hiwill but that's what I wanted, Unfortunately coffee loose the temperature very quickly. Having been using the hiwill I could feel huge difference. No more hot coffee on my desk when I arrive to work. So disappointed....I am considering sending them back , but it will be to US ... UPDATE: After few hit and misses with latte temperature and rinsing the cup with boiling water to make it hot I have no issues with the right temperature for at least 3 hours ! A win!

This thermos is INCREDIBLE!!!!! For starters, it's ACTUALLY spill-proof like it says (a first!) -- my work clothes and I really appreciate that, oh yes we do. ***Important note: Follow the top review's advice and ALWAYS HIT THE BUTTON to release pressure BEFORE taking a sip (or unscrewing the cap) -- if you don't practice good common sense and make a mess, that's on you! (I learned this the hard way.) Secondly, it's easy to clean (even the cap!), and there's no lingering funky metallic taste or smell whatsoever after like, the first day (which, I mean let's be reasonable: of course there's going to be a bit in the beginning, that's how manufactured products work). Lastly and most amazingly of all, it keeps my coffee warm FOR. THE ENTIRE. DAY. ...I KNOW!!! I was not expecting that at all -- I mean yes it's a thermos that's its job, but how often do things live up to their promises, y'know? Normally I get my coffee in the morning and park it way off to the side of my desk, which means I usually end up forgetting about it until around mid-morning, so by the time I reach for it it's gone fridge-cold. Furthermore, I don't like to drink through the sippy lid, so I leave the entire thing off for more convenient access, which exposes the beverage and makes it even more difficult to keep warm, right? CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. I've found that with this thermos, even after a considerable amount of exposure time my coffee is somehow STILL WARM???? Imagine my surprise upon taking that first sip and making this discovery -- almost did a spit-take, what is this sorcery?!?! And if I put the cap on like a sensible person, it easily keeps things warm into the afternoon (I'm talking like 3-4pm). Nothing short of miraculous, truly. I'm not usually the type to leave reviews, but I really did have to scream & shout about this one. Do I sound excessively enthused about something simple and not-a-big-deal? Probably. But this is my genuine reaction! I adore its sleek & elegant exterior as well as its user-friendly functional design, but most of all I appreciate that it delivers results far exceeding my expectations. I figure hey, even if nothing else in my life is going right, at LEAST I know my coffee is in good hands.

il m'accompagne tous les jours au travail et me permets même de ne plus boire mon café froid à la maison (vous savez la tasse que vous faite réchauffer sans cesse car vous n'avez pas le temps d'arriver au bout entre vos diverses activités comme le ménage, la lessive, ranger la chambre des enfants...). Il se lave facilement et il est beau. Heureusement mon mari n'est pas jaloux de lui.
