Good product, well built. A few tips...
Solid product, better than expected install instructions as well. And videos online are helpful. Packaged very well, and adjustability is a plus. But a few things to note: 1. Amazon will say this does not fit a '25 JLUR. Not true, it definitely does. 2. If you don't have them, a pry bar set and a 10mm 12 point socket are needed (outside of standard sockets, allen, and torx) 3. Camera housing removal - this is where the pry bar set comes in handy. Without it, there isn't a means to remove the plastic cover and camera without cracking the plastic and making it really difficult. This took me more time than I would have liked. 4. The 10mm 12 point isn't part of a standard socket set, so plan in advance. 5. This won't necessarily fix back up camera issues depending on your backspacing and wheel design (mine got better, but can still see the rim)

QUALITY MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE
After purchasing larger wheels for my Jeep, the spare tire mounting was an issue. After shopping several options, manufacturers, and styles, this one stood out as top tier. First of all, the entire mounting procedure was far easier and fewer spacers, gadgets and sloppy engineering. Sure enough, the kit arrived and was everything and more that I expected. Super quality, made in the USA, easy well thought out mounting and perfect fit. the kit functioned really well and as advertised. I am totally happy with this purchase and will definitely continue to shop this company ( teraflex) for my jeep optional components. really good stuff, not like cheep import lego style junk.

LOVE THIS
I’ve been looking for a spare tire carrier to hold my 35 inch tire on the back of my JLU! Bought this one and I LOVE it. Very amazing quality holds the 35 very well! It significantly reduced rattling from my tail gate! Install was very simple! Love this but I am still looking into getting the Tera flex hinge replacements that go along with this tire carrier!

I approve
Quality of the product is really good! Pretty easy to install. I was only concerned installing the main bracket as you are doing metal to metal and I feel like it will damage the pain on the tail gate over time - I shall see how it fares long term. Very happy with how it turned out. Its holding my 34.8.12,5 tire with decent amount of room still left to the bumper and the camera works great, no sensor warnings. IG: ravynjl

Perfect Fit
Fit perfectly and the install was relatively easy with common tools that most DIYers would have. Build quality looks to be strong and durable. Love it.

Instructions don't match my stock tire carrier but I figured it out and like the look and fit
I purchased this JL Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit (4838910) for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 392 w/ OEM Tailgate reinforcement and relocation bracket for the stock 35" tire. I followed the included installation instructions but they differed from my physical characteristics in regards to how the rear camera was mounted to the tire carrier. On page 3 of the instructions (see attached pic), step 2 says to remove the two T25 torx bolts and tap the studs with a hammer to remove the camera from the carrier. That didn't work for me. When I removed the 2 torx bolts, the three studs and their attached bracket came out easily with no need to use a hammer but the camera wasn't attached to the stud bracket, rather was fixed inside the long cone base of the tire carrier and appeared to be no way of removing it, as the entire cone base is one continuously molded piece. However, if you look on the backside, you can see where the inner base that has the camera attached is pressed into the outer base and requires a pry tool to remove it. I used a metal auto trim removal tool and pried at 3 separate points around the perimeter of the inner base (see attached pic) until it popped out, bringing the camera out with it. Assemble was easy enough and the instructions were easy to follow but weren't quite fitting to my reinforced tailgate and the part associated with it. I removed all the stock hardware except the reinforcement bracket and kept the 8 stock bolts and 2 shim pieces to be reused to mount the new TeraFlex kit (see attached pic). Over all, it turned out well and I think it looks and fits much better than my stock setup for my aftermarket wheels. I hope you found this review informative and useful in getting your kit mounted properly.

Very substantial tire carrier.
Instructional video was very helpful. I really like the ability to adjust to different tire sizes. My oversized spare now fits and feels very secure.
