USB C to VGA Adapter, USB-C to HDMI 4K Multiport Adapter for MacBook Pro/MacBook Air/ipad Pro/Dell XPS/Nintendo Switch with Thunderbolt 3 Port

I do mission work and seminar presentations occasionally, teaching using PowerPoint slides, which I copy onto both my MS Surface Pro laptop and Samsung S23 Ultra phone. On my last trip, I inadvertently left my DisplayPort to HDMI adapter for my laptop at home, and my USB-C adapter for my phone wasn’t casting the image correctly (my Samsung phone was going into DeX mode (yuck - a user error – needed to turn Automatic DeX mode off)). So I had to use someone else’s old laptop for the PowerPoints (an old laptop running old PowerPoint software that couldn’t play the embedded videos).At any rate, I purchased this All-in-One adapter and tested it out with my phone and projector in various configurations. VGA/computer display works. HDMI works, plugged my clicker’s receiver into the USB-A port – clicker works. Charge through the USB-C power port. It works. Sweet! The device all works as it should. Can’t speak to longevity, but so far I highly recommend this adapter over ones that just have an HDMI or VGA output (which I have as well). This just gives you lots of flexibility and options.By the way, the HDMI and VGA ports output the same signal. So you could send one signal to a TV for the speaker and another for the projected image behind the speaker. Yes, I recommend.

The product does what it needs me to do but the USB C port does not work at all.So here is the update. The seller reached out to me and offered me either a replacement or a refund. I told them that I was outside of the return time. The seller still offered me the options. I chose the replacement. I just got it today and it works perfectly. I so appreciate the seller for their great customer support. I will definitely be doing business with them again.

Update: I put an HDMI on it in addition to my VGA and second USB hub. It all still works fine, but you only get one extended display with this hub. That is, if you connect a VGA and HDMI display at the same time, the two external displays have to be the same. Doesn't change my score, because if you read the item description carefully, they did disclose this limitation. Still a solid product.Original: I've got an older VGA monitor running off of it while I also use the USB to connect a second USB hub with all my peripherals on it. The display and everything attached to that second hub are working without latency. Haven't tried putting an HDMI on it as well, I'll update if I do.

I'm very satisfied with this product. I bought it so that I could connect my MacBook Pro (2019) to a larger monitor at work and to my TV at home. It does both of these tasks without issue. I love that I have an extra USB-C port so that it is neutral as far as the inputs it takes up. I can also connect an external mouse at work using the more traditional USB drive. Also, the packaging and presentation of this product is superb. I was not expecting such a sleek design inside of stylish packaging. My business partner is already wishing he had bought this instead of a cheap VGA connector.

I bought this to connect my Samsung phone to an older monitor using vga. It works perfectly with Samsung Dex. I have a dongle for a wireless mouse/keyboard and use my phones power cord connected to this adapter which charges my phone while its connected to the monitor. Now its like i have a second computer without it taking up much space on my desk.I have also connected it to another monitor via the hdmi port (have not tried vga and hdmi at the same time) and that also works without an issue.It hasnt gotten hot or overheated when using it and i have it laying on a mouse pad.The only negative i have found so far is the usbc cable is a little stiff but it and the adapter feel like they are made from decent quality materials.

UPDATE:Note, get a dual-monitor adapter for those who want to connect two monitors. I tried connecting using the VGA and HDMI slots. The monitor connected via VGA extended my laptop screen no problem but the one connected via HDMI was only able to duplicate the laptop screen but would not extend.************************************I have a Lenovo docking station at work to plug in my laptop and extend my laptop screen to 2 large monitors. The docking station is way too expensive (couple hundred dollars) to duplicate at home. I have a large monitor with a VGA connector which my Lenovo ThinkPad doesn't support. This adapter allows me to use my VGA monitor with my laptop. One pleasant surprise is that I can plug in my laptop charger into the USB-C slot and then I would just have one USB-C connector into the laptop (just like the Lenovo docking station).This adapter/docking station is very light so it's portable.The only odd thing (though not a dealbreaker for me) is that the VGA slot does NOT have side screw holes to anchor the VGA cord with the twin screws. The adapter has a tight fit with my VGA connector so it still works without the screw holes.Given that it's about 1/10 the price of the Lenovo docking station, it's a great inexpensive option for those home offices. Be sure to review your connector needs before purchasing this adapter.
