In the crossroads of great powers
It is an interesting account on a not well known chapter of the history of two principalities situated at the frontiers of strong and greedy powers. We learn almost every detail about the secret negotiations and quarreling of imperialistic forces who deal with territories just like with chess pieces; and the weakness of the two small and underdeveloped states with corrupt leadership having no word in their fate. The weakness of the book is that the author hypothesizes the concrete knowledge of the historical context, what happened exactly and in which Crimean war, mentioned several times without putting a date to this.
