I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for a fully cooked whole chicken in a can. I think maybe mine got knocked around during shipping because it was not easily recognizable as a “whole” chicken upon opening. Either way, all the parts were there and it tasted incredible. I was surprised to learn that chickens have wishbones - just like a turkey but much smaller!

The chicken was interesting, and not what I expected. It wasn’t salty like most say, but I also ate it right out of the can on a plate. Even after I took away the broth it was all just drowned in broth for its lifetime. There is not much white meat seeming it’s all dark to other cooked colors of pink of a small chicken. Was fall off the bone tender as hell from in a can. It also was very soggy if that can be described. The chicken which many people order just to try, I want to described as wet like soaked fall apart skin and meat. Overall very interesting, give it a go just to say you done it in your life like I did lol.

I bought this as a nostalgia item. The price is insane. My grandmother used to get these and I loved it as a little kid, but as an adult it was totally gross. Tiny little chicken and I didn't enjoy the flavor at all and the skin was not pleasant. 👎 I like their regular canned chicken you get for making chicken salad but this... not so much.

a yummy treat - these used to be a standard staple in local grocery shops but disappeared at least 20+ yrs. ago. So to discover one while browsing Amazon was great. This brand Sweet Sue is extremely succulent and the broth its packed with makes a wonderful complement and can be used in any number of delectable entrees.

This product is NOT an intact chicken. Basically, it is a large can of bones, chicken meat, and chicken broth. It would be ideal as a beginning for homemade chicken stew or soup. The meat is quite tasty, as if it were slow simmered. A nice mix of white meat and dark meat. It does seem to include an entire chicken, as advertized. Disappointed it did not present a whole intact chicken for my table...

Granted, the idea of a whole, canned chicken will strike some as odd or even a bit gross. But when I was a child, my mom used to make a wonderful chicken and noodle casserole using whole canned chicken, so when I saw that the item is still being sold, I bought a can and tried to recreate the dish. I was not disappointed! The chicken is tender, tasty and perfect in a casserole. My childhood memories were not mistaken!

This is something you just don't see in the Grocery Stores anymore. This is great to have during an emergency, a pandemic, or a long cold winter or outages. Make a great meal. Debone it with mixed veggies a few potatoes and voila. ...homemade chicken soup.

Stocking up my stash. It’s a cooked whole chicken. Which I’m pretty sure y’all be very thankful to have if that’s all y’all had to eat.
