Great wetsuit
I bought this wetsuit for my 6-year-old son, who either hasn't figured out or doesn't care that the ocean here on the California central coast is just too cold for most people to swim in. He’s about average size for his age, and the size 6 suit fits him very well. There’s just enough wiggle room that he won’t outgrow the suit too soon (I hope). The suit is well-constructed, with solid stitching. We haven’t had any of the problems with the zipper that other reviewers have noted (at least not yet). Don’t expect this suit to keep your child warm and comfortable in really cold water, though. It’s only 2mm thick, and it’s a shorty. It’s probably OK for an unheated swimming pool in the summer or splashing around in the surf, but that’s about it.One note on sizing: the size chart posted on the product page doesn't match the size chart on the tag that came with the actual suit. Here are the sizes from the tag: Size 2: 30-40 lbs., 3’ 1”-3’7”, Size 4: 40-50 lbs., 3’7”-4’2”. Sizes 6 and 8 are the same as on the product page. Since we ordered a size 6, I couldn't tell you which numbers are more accurate for the smaller sizes, but hopefully this information will be helpful to parents of younger children. There are no odd sizes, despite the size chart listing them on the product page.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the suit so far. It fits nicely and is put together very well. My son has only worn it a few times, but so far it has performed well and I’m sure that with the proper care it will last until he eventually outgrows it.

Very Happy
Bought 2 of these for my boys for an upcoming snorkeling trip in January, but one of them has worn his to the indoor pool as the water is so cold (and he is so skinny) it makes him turn blue and shiver after just a short time. He was finally able to swim for over an hour without turning colors! I usually have to pull him out and warm him up after 30 minutes for fear of hypothermia, but this wetsuit allowed him to maintain a good body temp until we were all ready to go home. I'm very happy with this product so far and will purchase larger sizes as he grows. As for sizing, I think the size chart from Neosport was close, but we needed to order up a size because of long torsos. According to the chart, my small 9 year old was in the middle of the height range for size 6 and upper end of weight range for size 6. My 6 year old was in the middle of the height for size 4 and low end of weight for size 6. I got them both a size 6. My 6 year old has a long torso so I figured the extra length would be good for him. Size 6 fit him great. It was too small in the torso for my 9 year old though. We exchanged it for size 8 and it fits nicely. I would recommend going by your child's weight to determine sizing. If your child is at the upper end of the weight range, then size up.

This suit is great for small children who need extra layer to stay ...
This suit is great for small children who need extra layer to stay warm during swim lessons My son is small for his age and really skinny. My son used to have blue lips after a 40 minute swim lesson. He now stays warmer and is much happier. This is the second Neo Sport wet suit I have purchased. He outgrow that last one and I purchased the next size up. I rinse the wet suit after each use to eliminate fading due to the chemicals in the pool. His first suit still looks great after using it for two summers of use. It does have slight smell but it's not bothersome. The zipper does bug his neck and so I leave a couple inches not zipped up and use the Velcro to keep it sealed. I wish it were long sleeved and the legs would go to the knees. With these minor problems, I am happy with it and glad I purchased another one.

The right fit
I tried a few toddler wet suits and this one fit my skinny average height girl in both arms and legs. Others tend to be tight in the arms and loose in the butt/legs. With the snug fit, she's more comfortable in the pool and doesn't climb me as much. Win.

Good quality and fit, but a little pricey.
Looks like this will work for my 6-yr old daughter. She's 46" tall, perhaps a little shorter than other 6-yr olds we know. We haven't tried it in the water yet, but dry fit is good in the torso, with a little room to grow into, height wise. Not surprisingly, the arms and legs are a little loose, since her appendages are on the skinny side. The neck, however should be snug enough to keep the water in. Zipper is pretty standard for a wet suit, with a neoprene flap on the inside that keeps the skin from getting zipper rash. I really like the bright color scheme, as does my daughter. I'm taking away a star because of the high price, given that this suit is made of a fraction of the material needed for a similarly priced adult suit. That said, since she gets cold quickly in the water, it's a small price to pay to keep her comfortable, happy, and not whining!

Couldn't have been cuter
I got this for my son who was 1 1/2 for a spring beach trip and I was concerned that the water would be too cold for him. It turns out that he didn't spend much time in the ocean, but this wet suit was a great purchase. Originally, the suit was a little long in the arms and tight around his neck, but it worked just fine. A year later it still fits (as he has grown taller and thinned out)! We have used it a couple of times now, both at the beach and in the pool. It keeps him warm and he hasn't complained at all about it being uncomfortable. As with any wetsuit, taking it off can be a challenge, and don't even try putting it back on if its still wet. When it's dry, getting it on is a breeze. The zipper is sturdy and long. The quality is good. We haven't had any issues. Honestly, it isn't like he is doing any extreme water sports in it, but he does look totally adorable. This purchase is a no-brainer. If you need an infant or toddler wetsuit for occasional use, this one is well worth the money.

Keeps kids warm, kids love the look
My kids are cold blooded and this helps them enjoy Alberta lakes and swimming pools for a lot longer. The material is thick. I bought a size 6 for my 4 year old and a size 4 for my 2 year old. The sizes are too big on them, but I expect the suits to last two years. Even too big it keeps them warm and comfortable. When there’s a bathroom rush they’re not hard to remove in a pinch

Works well, but sizing is a little off
Overall very happy with this. We originally bought the size 2 and had to size up - my daughter felt like she was being strangled even though the rest of that suit fit well. So we upsized to the 4 which is a a little loose on her but fits at her neck. We bought this to help keep her warm in a very cold pool for swimming lessons. Previously she would be shivering 10min into her 30 min class, with this she’s still cold but she doesn’t end up with the shivers and blue lips!

Used during swimming lessons because pool water is on the cool side and kid gets cold quickly
Update:Huge issue with stitching, this suit leaves significant abrasion rashes where stitches are located. It feels like a different nylon thread is used vs. previous suit.Reaching out to MFG for solution.Original:Have been using this suit since sizes 4, 6 and now 8.Use it during swimming lessons because pool water is on the cool side and kid gets cold quickly.Nicely cut and put together, good quality. Third set we're buying from this brand.

True to size
This is perfect for my grandchild, he’s very small and can’t stay in the water long, gets very cold. But with this suit he’s staying in until he gets hungry! We LOVE it!

Good quality wetsuit but the neck is very tight.
Good quality wetsuit and the size is good but as other reviews have stated the only problem is the neck is very tight. I'm going to see if we can add a little bit of elastic in the neck to give it a centimetre or two extra room.I would recommend the maker of the suit add a bit more room in the neck for future production.
