The Savannah Bee Company Honeycomb Box - 1 x 10 oz

I bought this for my husband as he really enjoys honey from the comb. It came in an attractive box and the plastic case that the honey is in was sealed in plastic and didn't leak whatsoever...I was very glad about that. The case has a flip open lid which makes it easy to access and nicely presentable. At first my husband said it had an odd taste but now he likes it. He thinks it is because his first few bites were rather waxy. I put only 4 starts as he isn't raving that he "loves it".

Simply the best I have tried. I love honey comb, I chew on the wax for a few minutes, then I add more and keep chewing the wax until I spit it out, its a healthy alternative to ice cream and other sweets, and I like it better regardless. Once I learned more about honey, I cant stop...for me, and I truly could eat one 12 oz Comb a day. This honey comb sells out often, so it at times can be hard to get.Wild Flower is my favorite, which is what this honey flower is. I have ordered from Savannah directly, but it can take 7 days, and many times sold out, so this seller is a great Prime option when my honey comb inventory is running low.

Great honeycomb, messy packaging. I ordered this to be a part of a charcuterie plate over the holidays. The actual product is fantastic! However, the packaging needs improvement. The box arrived sticky. Honey must leak from where the lid meets the bottom of the box. Could be problematic if you live in a place with ant problems. we cut ours into thirds & put in a glass mason jar until me used it.

This packaging doesn't seem ideal as it wasn't sealed and could leak, which is obviously a bad situation with something as messy as honey. The wax was also broken with done of the honey leaked out, and some of it was so waxy it was nearly impossible to swallow. Still a delicious treat though

The honey was delicious...very floral and unique. However due to the delicate nature of honey comb i feel a better packaging could be devised. The wax caps on almost all the the honey cells was either damaged or stuck to the top of the plastc box in which the comb was packed. This causes all the honey to leak out and the comb becomes very waxy and tough when that happens. So like I said...great honey...poor packaging.

Not as amazing as I was expecting. I was expecting the flavor of honey I get from the bottle which I know is from different sources so I was aware of that.This has a slightly flowery taste/aroma which I dislike, it feel like someone sprayed some air freshener into the honey. I've never had honeycomb before and don't know how the comb is supposed to be but my mouth gets full of tons of little flakes that I don't like.

It is good honey but be careful of ordering this online. During shipping it gets tossed around and is exposed to a variety of temperatures. My honey arrived with melted wax which made the plastic container sticky and messy.I would recommend trying to find this at a local retailer as I found this same brand at mine (Market District).

I eat quite a bit of honeycomb and recently came across the Savannah Bee one. It seemed very expensive (2x what you'd typically find at Whole Foods) but I figured I'd try it. I can't recommend it though, the taste is subpar, it has a certain edge / bitterness in the aftertaste so purely on taste I'd rate it below average and wouldn't buy it even if it was cheap.Also, the packaging is messy--the box comes wrapped in plastic, so the outside is clean, but the box itself leaks so as you peel away the wrapping you get a sticky mess. More conventional boxes (round and sealed) work way better.
