A Must-Have for Steps/Stairs
I bought this because I have concrete steps off my side door, and the first step down from the door to the porch is a doozy! I was always afraid of falling, as there is no banister there. But with this cane, I can easily step down safely. And even though it doesn't fold up, it also can fit in a car if I need to use it when going to someone's place that has steps. I have a physical therapist who comes to my home and she was quite impressed with it. Highly recommend!

Helpful but expensive
This is a great, simple solution for making steps easier to climb. It is cheaply made but costs a lot for the materials used.

Portable Step Is Great
There are two stairs leading to my condo that are too high for me to easily walk up on. This portable step is exactly what I needed. I carry it to my car and use it when I get back home. It’s a big help and I’m glad I found it.

Slow to use, not very sturdy
It is not very sturdy. I would have returned it if I still had the packaging.

Excellent customer service, assembly and easy to use!
The seller was fantastic in their customer response and the cane has been of great assistance for my Mom. She is able to walk up and down the stairs in a better manner than before.

Great for the pool stairs!
I purchased this for my mom, who needed a little help with climbing the stairs to get out of her pool. This is perfect, and we've had no problems with using it in the water. I just let it dry after we're finished using it. Thank you!

Ok for limited use scenarios
This aid is ok for someone who has decent mobility and balance but has trouble getting their leg to rise high enough for a regular stair height, but if they need to use the cane for support I would have sincere doubts. The step irtself is very sturdy, which I had concerns about when buying since it was plactic. The cane however wobbles in it's base. I also have concern that if someone was using it to steady themselves and put any real weight on it eventually it would fold / bend at the plastic base and fail. Again, if all someone is going to use the cane for is to lift the base from one step to another it should work fine. In our case though the person needs to support and steady themselves with the cane and their other hand on the railing. We've opted not to use it.

The unit itself is wobbly, I was afraid to use it at first as it didn't seem to be stable enough to help me climb stairs. It worked fine once I got the hang of it, I should have shopped around more, the price is steep for such a cheaply made piece of safety equipment, I was able to purchase a walker with wheels, seat and brakes for almost half the price!
