They are firm, for changing gear. At the same time they are very comfortable for walking.I have owned many motorcycle boots over the years, these are the best by a mile.

Seen multiple complaints of the shoes wearing out fast such as shifter toe, this has not been my experience at all. Owned for multiple months now and ride a Yamaha R7, including as a commuter to work. 600 miles on these shoes atleast the the toe is not even scuffed. Half my trip is urban meaning frequently shifting. Definitely not a wear all day, in and out, shoe but it's a great shoe for riding. Especially if you ride a Supersport-ergonomics bike.

Pricey but made well and good airflow in the shoe. If it rains, not so great. Your feet are going to get soaked. They look great as a side bonus. I wanted a riding shoe with a low profile toe so that I didn't have to do massive adjustments to my shifter and this was the shoe for that.

All in all, great protection for track riders. Ever day riders I would possible stray away because of the price. But for steel toe protection & ankle armor, I would recommend. I do with Alpinestars would lower their prices just a little. 9/10 would recommend, you will have no worries when the time comes that you do go down.

Everyone knows Alpinestars makes great products for European riders. I'm not a European rider and like Tourmaster sizing. Regardless, I wear a size 40 European or a size 7.5 U.S. in a C wide.This pair of Alpinestars warm weather riding shoes fits my very U.S. wide feet (C width) easily. They actually feel good and do not pinch the sides. These shoes cradle my feet the way shoes should. My feet go in the first time, without a lot of tugging. The shoes look good too.
