Whole Lobe of Fresh Duck Foie Gras Deveined Flash Frozen - approx. 1 lb / 454 g - Grade A

I bought this duck foie gras, to make my own foie gras. I followed the recipe wich inlcude: salt, pepper, nutmeg and a sweet white wine. let it cure for 24hr. the next day I had to cut the foie gras in smaller pieces to fit the several small dishes I have. To my surprise one side of the liver was not devine. I had to wait so it will be at room temperature to remove the nerve. Overall the flavor was great, I would give 5 stars if the product was as the description. I will probably buy again and I will definitely check for nerves.

The Foie Gras was good and delivered frozen and well packed. The flavor was good but the Foie was not vien free as suggested by the Amazon listing. We buy Foie for New Years and this was good, not great.

Delicious fat to be enjoyed seared rare. I caramelized mine in Maple syrup considering it tis Canadian.
