CISA Review Questions, Answers & Explanations Manual, 12th Edition

In an ideal world this would be an ebook but since that format is not available so you have to work with the paperback book. If you try to go through this book like you are taking a practice exam it will take forever. Instead you should read the question , read all the answers and then read the full explanation of why each of the possible answers are right or wrong. If you do it that way it works much more.lime a study guide and a prep for the way questions are asked. There are.plenty of available sample tests out there, don't try to make this book into another one.

Couldn't have passed the exam without this book of practice questions. Helps you think like ISACA wants you to for the exam.

I used this book as the primary means of study for the CISA exam. I also have the 27th edition of the CISA Review Manual for deeper understanding of some topics. I used the CISA Review Questions, Answers & Explanations Manual (12th edition) as my main means of studying for the CISA test. I did pass the test after studying about 90% of the questions in this manual (Passed on first try). I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to take the CISA Exam.

I passed my exam on my first attempt, don’t think that would have been possible without this book. It prepared me for the type of questions that should be expected on the exam.

The questions and content of the book are an excellent prep tool, but I don't know what the answers have to be directly below the questions instead of at the end of each section. It pretty much defeats the entire purpose of getting a questions manual to prepare for the exam. It does have a practice exam at the back that doesn't reveal the answers until the end of the book, but in terms of practice it makes it pretty useless for the remainder of the book.

I found the manuall poorly written and not well revised. There are 5 domains and 150 questions for each domain. I would expect for these questions to cover as much material as possible. Wasting 5 or more questions for the exact same subject is not efficient and makes no sense. For example there are more than 5 questions for 1. Software escrow (domain 2) 2. IT alignment with business objectives(domain 2) 3. right to audit for outsourced services (domain 2). Taking into account that it is a very expensive book, i would recommend that it would be better for someone to save the money or only buy the main CISA guide. Don't also expect to find the same multiple choice questions in the exam!
