Great brush for detail
Love this brush, I've bought multiple

Why doesn't anyone else make brushes shaped like this?
I absolutely love the shape of this brushes handle. It is very comfortable and gives me a lot of control. This is very important because I have wrist issues and after a prolonged period of painting my wrist can start to shake. This brush allows me to paint longer without my wrist becoming fatigued. Unfortunately this brush is very weak above the ferrule. While you would never put enough pressure on that area during actual use, it poses a problem during shipping. Making sure breakage is prevented is obviously up to the seller/shipper, but order this well before you need it just in case. ;) The psycho's bristles weren't quite what I expected. I was looking for a brush that I could use to paint the eyes and teeth of my GW models. This brush does not hold enough paint at the tip to accomplish that. You have to hold this brush at a slant and drag the bristles in a line to make a mark. It is very useful for painting lines and edging. That just wasn't quite what I was looking for. (If anyone knows which of The Army Painter's brushes would be good for painting eyes and teeth please leave a comment)

A fantastic details brush.
Can I tell you how awesome this brush is? I recently got into miniature painting, thanks to Kickstarting Arcadia Quest and finding myself surrounded by dozens of unpainted miniatures. Cool Mini Or Not's resident artist had painted a few of them and was posting them in the Kickstarter updates and I was amazed at how they looked. So I decided to try my hand at it. I've learned quite a few things in just the four weeks I've been painting and one of the biggest lessons (outside of using good paints and thinning them) is the importance of the correct brush. Now that might seem obvious. And it is. But one area I kept falling woefully short in was the details. These miniatures are so small and the parts like the eyes, clean lines and small details require a fine touch and an even finer brush. Most of the brushes I found, even the ones marked "fine details" were too big for me and my clumsiness. You won't find me claiming to be an artist, but I want to try my best. This brush was a life saver. Now, I'm not as worried about eyes or tiny details. The tip is so fine that you can pickup just a small amount of paint and apply it...even if you have unsteady/untrained hands. It's a great learner's brush, too, I've found. I would definitely recommend this brush for miniature painters who need a finer touch when taking care of fine details. It's probably my favorite of the brushes I own. Note: I've read some of the reviews stating that the product arrived damaged. Mine did not, but it was ordered along with other items so it was in a box. The actual brush came wrapped in a bag and with one of those brush protectors over the tip.

Nice for detailing, sturdy it is not
The Good: This is the second of these I have bought. I really liked the detail I could paint in on mini’s especially the face and minute details. I also like the control I get from the handle and it’s shape. Now the bad: I somehow cracked the brush at the nib just getting the cap off. The point the wood is connected at the metal is extremely fragile and cracked with very little pressure. I am extra careful about my replacement brush but think that the design could be improved somehow especially since these brushes aren’t cheap in price.

Army Painter is better than "experts" would have you believe
Many folks describe "army painter" as the beginner company when it comes to just starting off within the hobby of miniature painting. Although i would agree with regards to some (not all or even most) of their paints - i would argue that most Army Painter paints are of good to great quality...i digress. Army Painter brushes are my favourite to use. i've spend over a hundred bucks on singular "fancy" brushes and pennies on boxes of name-brand generics. I always come back to 2-3 army painter brushes. its all i've ever needed. it's all i'll ever need.

CRAZY SMALL!
I took a chance on this one because there were a few reviews stating defects. When mine arrived it wasn't packaged very well but after opening the package it looked to be in good shape. The real test would come after I used it. Well I'm happy to report that this brush is just as advertised. I needed something that was smaller then anything I could find at The Lobby, this thing is CRAZY small. Plus I'm kind of rough with my brushes and this thing has really held up to everything I can put it through. Great job Army Painter!

Best tiny brush I've found.
The best for painting tiny details on game minis. They don't last long because they only have like three hairs, but that's what you need for those microscopic details.

Frayed before the first use
I was pretty disappointed in this brush. I was very excited to get an Army Painter brush, especially one for the finer details. I have been buying brushes at Hobby Lobby for a couple months but they don't carry anything for the finer detailing of minis. When I got my Psycho I couldn't wait to use it. Problem was it was frayed and made multiple paint marks rather than the small eye I intended to make. After one less than acceptable application it is useless to me. I attempted to use brush shaper to no avail. Now it is back to using toothpicks and needles for my finer details.

Sehr empfehlenswert. 👍

I can kind of understand why this brush has this name, the tip is extremely fine and able to pick out the tiniest details - if you have a steady enough hand. It is well made with a good shape to the shaft making it easy and comfortable to hold. This is not a general painting brush, it is for those people who like to paint insane levels of detail to their figures and models. It also needs to be used with great care and carefully maintained or you lose the facility that this offers. I have never found a brush this fine anywhere else and I've previously had to pluck or trim brushes to get fine detail, none of which were as nice as this brush. Recommended for anyone who goes a but nuts over their models and figures, but this is not for everyone.
