Is the 18 micron actually thicker than supermarkets foils? And is this 100% Aluminium?

It’s much thicker than supermarket foil - I have no idea if it’s 100% aluminium though. What I will say it’s very sharp and I have cut my fingers a few times

Does it have a metal cutting edge

No, its plastic but it seems very robust, as is the foil itself. On my third box and definitely wouldn't go back to the flimsy supermarket stuff.
