I loved it. It saved my butt. My older dryer decided to die on me while I was processing persimmons. I needed a new dryer fast; found this one and it worked like a charm. Press some buttons and let it do its thing. Works great on fruit, have not tried meat yet, but that will be soon.

We use this for setting royal icing on sugar cookies. It's really easy to set up and use. The timer alarm is nice and loud.The only thing I'd like to see is smaller increments on the timer...maybe 15 minutes instead of 30. 30 minutes doesn't harden the royal icing quite enough and 1 hour makes the cookies a bit too hard.Still, it's not a deal breaker. My wife and I really like this unit.

This dehydrator is the best I've ever used. I've used the round ones that stack and I've used the oven method. You don't have to move the trays around in this because the fan and heating element are in the back of the machine which means I can set the timer and go to bed and have perfect jerky in the morning to take to work. No worries about switching trays, or leaving it in too long It has 10 plastic racks, two leather fruit trays and one metal hanging rack. It's large but I love that I can put 11 lbs of meat in it. You have to slice your jerky kinda thick to get the 11 lbs but it's so good. We've already done deer jerky, bananas, apples, and strawberries. It's also very quiet compared to others I've used. I have already recommended this to friends!

I tried to use it this morning for dehydrating mixed veggies. I only have one fine mesh screen. On the regular trays the veggies fall through. I can't run this thing one screen at a time. I want to run it with every screen full. I may have to return. I am not going to spend more money buying food grade mesh screens for every single tray. for other thing that are larger it would be fine but for what I need today this will not work

So disappointed, we used this thing like 3 times and the stupid glass is coming off! Unbelievable barely have had it 10 days.Update 7/19/19The entire glass popped out of the frame... seriously talk to the manufacturers about the cheap garbage adhesive they have on these things!The functionality of it is pretty good overall, temperature setting easy to do, and super easy to set up. Just super mad it’s falling apart and has never been mishandled since we’ve owned it.

It worked good til the glass on door fell off lucky didn’t break I used industrial appoxy to fix it

Purchased this to replace cheaper dehydrators that didn't hold as much food and had no temperature control. This was so much better. It was faster drying and dried evenly. It was so much faster that I over-dried a few things not realizing that it did the job faster. Its not loud, but isn't quiet either. I would recommend it to others as a cost effective alternative to top of the line Excalibur.
