It says I've purchased these 4 times already through the years, so this was my 5th order. It's usually 2 at a time so 10 canes.They have been very good cane and usually they get old, but I've lost them in a grocery cart or hotel stay and one on top of my car driving away. Memory issues.. I think.. :-) i have one placed in the house in different places and in my truck.So, I got a lemon this time.I am upset at the VERY DIFFICULT replacement process and ultimate rejection. I do still recommend the canes though, so I am changing the stars from one to 5. The canes deserve it but if it fails, Amazon has made it difficult to return. I could not find the telephone number anywhere. i tried several times.I only want it replaced. It actually broke IN MY HAND walking my dogs!One of the 2 in this order had layers loose and raised cracks in the curve. The shaft part broke off from my hand! All I was left holding was a small part of the curve handle! I've uploaded a photo of it, you can see the separation.You can see the layers in the picture. I think it is laminated wood instead of a regular branch or a piece of real wood. I'm very thankful I was not leaning hard when it broke. I did not fall and it slid from my grip without leaving a splinter or scrape.I would like it replaced it please.Beware of purchasing this ONLY because with something obviously this defective, Amazon passes on their "Prime" responsibility, and will not allow returns before deadline. Amazon provides a goose chase for customer support and would not even allow chat or phone calls. Amazon then tries passing it off to Carex. Carex then says "if bought by Amazon, contact customer support" and sends you back to Amazon again!I'm 67 and dizzy from running in these fruitless circles! I like Carex and have purchased this several times from Amazon, but this kind of customer service is frustrating and even feels deceptive. I like Amazon but they don"t seem as helpful as they used to be.

I use a cane for support while walking and this product meets my needs. Looks good and works good. I keep one in the car for backup. Would recommend for light duty assistance. No click while walking, I like that!

I used this as a prop in a video and it did its job. The cane itself is more of a dark brown, so you will have to spray paint it if you want a black cane. Very sturdy, easy to fit if you have a saw.

We ordered this for our daughters for their black belt module and they are holding strong after pretty good use. Let's see how much abuse can they take from a 10 year and a 8-year-old. Will update on that. Thank you
