Expensive, but worth the price.
This is the single nicest fan I've ever bought, you can tell where the price tag comes from. It works fine, and is very quiet when running at full speed.I bought this for a 3d printer enclosure filter fan and it works great, you can defiantly feel the airflow inside of the enclosure, and it maintains the same volume and effectiveness over several day long prints, running at 100% for hours uninterrupted. While being expensive, you get exactly what you pay for, and Im considering changing out all my PC fans with Nocturnas, they really live up to the hype for me.

Best quality fan I’ve used.
Excellent fans, quiet. Replaced my Behringer NX3000D pro audio amplifier fans and the result was silent operation!

Good Fan!
I retrofitted the power supply in an old Compaq Deskpro EP with this.I wanted more airflow through the case without a ton of noise. The Nidec fan from 1998 would've been far too loud if I sped it up much.I took apart my power supply and disabled the fan speed control (even old ATX power supplies have fan speed controllers). I did this by only using the positive off the fan header and finding a different ground. The fan runs at full speed and makes a very pleasant low-pitched noise. This keeps the machine much cooler and will prolong the life of this old power supply.Noctua fans are great, I have them in all my computers. They are powerful air movers and even at higher speeds they stay quiet.

Great product!
Works great as a case fan. Even at full speed, it is still very quiet.

Great for a Kenwood TS-2000 Ham Radio Upgrade
I bought 2 of these fans to upgrade the stock fan in 2 Kenwood TS-2000 ham radios. It is thicker than the stock fan but there is plenty of clearance. The stock screws can be used in the rear of the mounting holes as they are not long enough to go through the whole fan. I may hunt down some long 2 mm screws someday to complete the installation but it works great as it is. The fan is much quieter than the stock fan and moves a lot more air - a lot more. You have to put your ear right up to the radio to hear the fan. This is great for cross band repeating, Kenwood Sky Command, or digital modes like PSK31 or JT65 that create a lot of heat. If you like it quiet you can even do this if you aren't running any of these modes. Keeping the heat down keeps the finals alive! . This is a high quality fan and it comes with lots of adapters if you are going to use it in a PC. The fan in the TS-2000 is ground switched so if you put a 1 watt, 100 ohm resistor between the fan ground and chassis ground the fan will run at low speed all the time and switch to high speed when the relay closes. It is an ideal fix.

Outstanding quality and unbelievably quiet
I used this fan to replace the stock cooler in my Behringer iNuke 3000 amplifier. The stock cooler was extremely noisy, even at base load. I have the amp setup in a home theater app so the loudness of the stock fan couldn't be tolerated. I swapped the stock cooler for this Noctua. All I can say is WOW. The fan is completely inaudible at base line AND under load. Granted, I don't think it moves quite the CFM as the stock cooler, but I've had no thermal overload issues so far. I'd definitely recommend this for someone looking for a high quality cooler that is SILENT.UPDATE: 09/28/19I ran the amp at full tilt (almost to clipping) today and managed to trip the thermal overload fail safe. This was more of a benchmark test than a real world continued use. That said, the fan couldn't move enough air to keep cool under a max load, but it does just fine for normal use. Still 5 stars got quality and lack of noise.

Works great in a Synology DS1515+
My Synology DS1515+ is well past its warranty date, and it needed a replacement fan.Previous experience has taught me that getting original parts from Synology can be a costly/slow/painful process.A few Synology forums recommended getting Noctua NF-A8 FLX fans as a decent upgrade, and they were right! These replacement Noctua fans run quietly, the case/drive temperatures are stable (no temperature increase over original), and DSM 7 is happy with them (no error beeps or system warnings).Glad I purchased a set of them for my NAS.
