I've been taking these for a month and a half now, and although I haven't been tracking my hair growth, I have noticed that my nails are thicker and stronger, which shows me that it is clearly getting into my system. I do not feel that my nails are growing quicker than before - I'm not needing to trim them more often than usual or anything, which is totally fine by me, because I started taking these in hopes of better hair health. I've been getting headaches recently, but I cannot pinpoint the exact cause of my headaches. I'm not sure if others have had headaches as a side effect, so, I just wanted to mention that in case someone else has also experienced that. I should also add that my nail tips are whiter since taking these. They used to be kind of an off-white color, and now grow out a clean white, which is great. I need to give this more time before I can fully report on any changes to my hair, but if you're looking for something to help with nail strength, I definitely recommend this product. Update: It's been around 8+ months of my taking these. I no longer get headaches from taking them, and I definitely have seen improved hair health, and quicker growth. It is not something you'll notice overnight, but if you take one every day, for months, you'll begin really noticing a difference. My hair is longer, slightly fuller, and even softer. I've noticed that I get a lot of baby hairs as well, so, new growth. My nails do grow slightly faster than before, but the major benefit is still, nail strength. They are much stronger. Update: It's been over a year. I continued to experience hair growth from this product, and new baby hairs are still popping up around my hairline, that I wasn't even aware had been thin. I stopped taking this for one week. When I started taking it again, the headaches came back. My boyfriend is now taking them as well. He has noticed my new hair growth, and that my hair is softer. We were hoping these could possibly help strengthen his beard, and within a week, we began to notice his beard was growing quicker, fuller, and slightly softer. Downside? He has had terrible headaches. So, I can say, with 100% certainty, this product can cause headaches when you first begin taking it. My recommendation is to take it at night, before bed, in an attempt to sleep through the potential headaches.

I love these biotin supplements. They are actually very small and I can swallow them very easily. I take 2 a day since 10000mcg is the daily recommend maximum intake of biotin and my hair, nails, and skin have seen a significant difference. My hair suffers a lot mostly because I love to experiment with color and bleach my roots every 2-3 months. In the past when I did this before the biotin I noticed that my hair was stunted in growth. It was hard to even grow a quarter of an inch a month and it was stressful to see. I tried everything from eating better to not touching my hair all together but it didn't help much. After introducing the biotin to my daily routine I can say that the biotin now helps me grow 3/4 of an inch each month. I can comfortably get a trim from my trusted hairdresser and not have to worry about my hair not growing. I used to have thin hair to where my scalp was noticeable but now my hair has grown out thicker and more strands seem to be growing out and you can no longer see big gapping holes in my hairline. I will say that although the hair on my head grows faster, the hair everywhere else does as well. I don't mind that so much, but for those people who don't want to keep up with shaving then I would not suggest this for you. My nails have never been brittle, but before the biotin I would say they were average. I never worried about them chipping but after the biotin my nails are absolutely amazing. Not only do they grow very fast, but they are also rock solid. I cannot bend them and they cannot be peeled or picked at either. I do notice that when I have to cut my nails that if I'm not careful they do go flying off because I need to apply so much force to cut them. My skin has also seen great improvements as well. My skin before was a sickly pale color. I'm fair skinned so everything is completely noticeable if I have a problem. Ive gone through severe acne as a teen, I still have redness around my noise and cheeks, I still suffer from acne as an adult, And I produce more oil than you can imagine. I've always had problems. Before buying I was wary of all those reviewers who commented that buying this for acne prone skin was a bad combination, but I did not have that problem. Although I do suffer from acne, it has calmed quite a bit, but the biotin actually helped the health of my skin substantially. I have a nice, healthy color now, my skin isn't as oily, and I have less breakouts since starting the biotin. For those of you who are scared of the biotin creating breakouts and cystic acne I would recommend boat loads of water. I will say that I am not shy in the amount of water I consume. I estimate a gallon everyday. I actually tested my theory out to see if water played a role in creating the acne. I purposefully drank less water than I normally would and lo and behold cystic acne appeared. They were painful, but once I began to consume the amount of water I would regularly I noticed no acne and the cystic pimples that appeared started to shrink. Overall, drink a lot of water, expect to see changes all over your body, and if your having a bad reaction to the biotin then stop taking it. I know that what works for me will not work for everyone, but I love this product and recommend it to anyone who is looking for stronger skin, hair and nails.
