Looks great and cooks great too! The standard everyone else tries to copy. It is our go to pot for soups stews and breads. Pricey but worth it.

Ordered the 5 qt DO in white and I just couldn’t be happier. It’s perfect!!! Works really well, cleans well, and looks beautiful just as decor on the stovetop when not in use. Highly recommend!

Le Creuset products are some of the very best available. I ordered a casserole for a wedding gift and opened my delivery today. The shipping box was bigger than necessary to ship this item and there was almost no packaging - giving the small amount included it was like there was no packing. The item slid back and forth during shipment and when I picked it up to bring it in. It damaged the Le Creuset box inside. Whoever is packing should know better than to send something this heavy and not have it packed properly in the box. The product itself seems ok but it looks like I bought it second hand with a damaged box instead of buying it and having it look nice to give as a wedding gift. For a minute, I thought about returning it and buying locally but thought of the waste that would be involved with doing that.

ok so yes.... it is expensive, but what a great great pot for family style chilly and stews! The finish is beautiful and the cast iron holds its heat extremely well for a long time. this is a pot you only have to buy once then pass it on when you - move on :)

I love love love this Dutch Oven pot. I serve up large batches of soups for a large crowd. It's heavy though but that's a good thing.

I ordered this beautiful oval, 5 qt., meringue color, Dutch Oven, and it arrived promptly. It is a beautiful piece. It is a gift for my daughter, so I have not used it, but I have several other Le Creuset Dutch Ovens in various sizes, and really love them. I cook up so many different things in them. They are heavy, solid pans, and wonderful to make all sorts of dishes in. They clean up so easily. This piece will last a life time.

Being from south Louisiana (Cajun country) we love to cook for family and friends. I wanted a large pot to replace my magnalite pot. I couldn’t be more pleased. I use this to make rice dressing at Christmas and Thanksgiving. It’s also perfect for our famous gumbo!! I made a huge amount of chicken stock a few weeks ago. This pot is big!! I put two chickens in it for my stock. The heat distribution is absolutely the best. One does not need to cook at high temperature. I’ve adjusted the temperature to a lower setting especially when making a rioux. Since there have been articles about magnalite cookware giving off trace amounts of metals possibly causing Alzheimer’s, I decided to replace mine. Anyone from south Louisiana is familiar with magnalite. It’s what everyone here uses. I also just ordered a Le Creuset skillet to replace my Teflon skillet because of health issues with Teflon. I’ve purchased a smaller enameled cast iron Dutch oven a couple of years ago. There is no comparison to the quality of that pot to the Le Crouset brand. Yes, Le Crouset is more expensive; however, with proper care your pots will end up in hands of your grandchildren. I know some people place them in the dishwasher. I just can’t bring myself to do this. Besides, these pots are so so easy to clean. For tough scorched on food, just a soak in warm soapy water and it cleans up with no effort whatsoever. If you enjoy cooking, treat yourself. You’ll end up replacing your pots one at a time with Le Crueset.

Purchased the Oval Dutch Oven as a gift. Arrived in good time as ordered and well packaged with no chips or flows. The color two tone red looks stunning. The 5 qt. oval is a good size for our needs. We are a family of three.
