Really fun for anyone willing to put in the work to build a small, detailed model
This definitely takes a while to put together, but very satisfying when it's done. Keep in mind that the finished product is very small, so if you have bad eyesight or shaky hands it probably won't work for you. Needle-nosed pliers are a must. Getting the legs on tightly was a bit difficult, but I don't mind that mine wiggle a tiny bit - I think it adds a cool touch to see it move a bit when it's picked up or put down, and they're definitely not going to come off with light handling. Definitely don't plan to use this as a toy though, it's held together by some really tiny tabs that would break off with rough play.

Absolutely wonderful
I absolutely love Metal Earth. I have finished this one, the scorpion, and the peacock. It is quite tedious and a little frustrating at times but it is a great pastime. The outcome is so worth it. The metal parts can and will break if you are not precise. I have a set of eyebrow tweezers that I use and thats all you need! I highly recommend these two. The peacock is also highly recommended but it is much larger and it takes a lot more time and more skill. The peacock comes with a stand but I broke it so I need to superglue it together lol.

Fun, good quality and moderate challenge.
I was a little hesitant of how hard it might be but I still wanted to try it. The only challenge I came across was I had to YouTube to double check if I was pushing the body piece out or in correctly. Other than that I enjoyed putting it together.

Just beautiful metal replicas of some wonderful creatures
Insane and fun to build. I already bought the rest of these. They even have star wars ones. Yup, got them too.Try one. For the price it is seriously worth it.

Metal insects are welcome in our home!
Our teens love these, somewhat challenging and a great result with patience. Dexterity is required and it's great for helping children focus.

My first build - harder and more time consuming then I planned.
This was my first 3D metal build. It was challenging to say the least and probably took me more time to do then necessary. The curved body was the most challenging as it probably took me a good full hour just to do the first piece. It wasn't clear that you were supposed to bend and shape it in two directions to get a fully rounded "ball" type shape, otherwise you're liable to just bend it in one direction according to the seam bending line. Then you'll get more of an elongated shape rather than the ball type shape. As a suggestion to the Fascinations Metal Earth people...please think about making the tabs (that fit into the slots) slightly longer. There were lots of times when I felt the tabs too short, and it became a real pain to fit it through the slots in order to either bend 90 degrees or twist it. I would rather have the tabs slightly longer for me to easily push it through the slots and then go back and cut it down, rather then to have the tabs short the way it now is and spending an over amount of time trying to thread it through the way I did on this first build. It took me just about 4 1/2 hours to finish this, and has me debating on whether or not to build other 3D metal pieces in the future.

Great for relaxing...
My son has done several of these and finds them relaxing after a long day of work. Many others available and look pretty awesome on his shelf.

Nice build and simple
Simple yet interesting. I like the bottom side. It was easy to assemble for me since I made a few of these metal kits already. Since it's metal, you may come upon sharp parts like the end of the legs. Just be careful.
