It does give me the tingles while a little short of breath at two teaspoons in water. But only lasts a few seconds then tingly for a minute, then relaxed. I use twice a day in the morning and then before bed. Helps me stay calm somewhat. Yes the bag always rips when opening and the ziploc doesn’t work on the bag anymore. Keep in mind when trying to open. Feel around and maybe use scissors to open the zipper lock but for me it doesn’t affect the product. It’s way less clumpy than the other brands. I was very happy with the GABA sold by Pure. I like the form it's sold in (crystalline), and it dissolves easily in water. The potency is definitely quality. Works better than other OTC GABA supplements I have tried. It has a nice calming effect on the mind and body. All-in-all, a great value.

For those who don't know the supplement and neuroscience industries are split on whether or not GABA crosses the Blood-Brain-Barrier (Which is a barrier around the brain that only allows certain chemicals to enter and induce effects within the brain, especially the nervous system). Many people believe they feel the effects of GABA, and others say they don't. There could be many reasons for this. For example, some people have a higher-level experience with taking GABAergic's (substances that alter the GABA system) than others. So those people will have a larger "frame of reference" than those who have rarely manipulated the GABA system. Some people drink alcohol frequently, while others have never taken a sip. Also, there is the factor of the placebo effect at play. Some people may be able to decipher whether they are experiencing the placebo effect while others may believe they are actually feeling the effects when it is really a placebo effect. People who take less substances from an external source are more likely to fall victim to the placebo effect. All is not lost though! Many scientists and professionals believe GABA can enter the brain through other means such as transporters. Also, GABA is believed to increase Growth Hormone at around the 3-gram dosage. I have taken other GABA products and they commonly give you a weird taste in your mouth, and often a "flushing" sensation. I get that effect from this product too. I believe this is real GABA, but that doesn't say whether it is high-quality or not. However, for the price I believe this is a good deal. The bag did rip when I tried to open it (Maybe I did something wrong?) and that is letting moisture in which is causing it too clump together. I kept the GABA in the brown bag but folded it closed and placed the brown bag inside of a large zip-loc bag. I don't know if I am one of those who gets an effect from GABA, as I have taken stronger GABAergics and have possibly desensitized my receptors. I would recommend doing research before buying any GABA powder products.

Great packaging, compared to other brands it has more the texture of a snow that would pack well into a good snowball (which i prefer) as opposed to some brands that have more a consistency of powdered sugar or flour. I feel the tingle at a lower dose then other brands. Also dissolves easier and more completely in water then other brands. Very fair price, mild salty to non-existent taste. Fine product, Happy customer =)

I’m not a chemist, but I’ve several brands of GABA and this one has the right effect. For those of you who have taken it before, you know what I mean - head feels slightly light and numb. If you take too much you will just very briefly feel a little out of breath and it helps with falling asleep.

Not much to say, found multiple of these little bugs after one of the clumps of Gaba broke apart. I searched the rest of the bag and found 5 more of these before I stopped looking and threw it away.

This GABA helps my Mood

Muscle Relaxant. If you take a tablespoon of it in water it’ll make you feel short of breath but in a tingly good way. But do it at your own risk okay? That’s a super high dosage. I just love how it makes me feel 🤣
