SureFit Duck Solid - Shorty Dining Room Chair Slipcover - Natural (SF21079)

I purchased the slipcovers for the Pottery Barn Megan side chairs. I have used the $40-70.00 Pottery Barn version until this point.The material of the Sure Fit is much thinner (can be compared to a Hanes plain undershirt?) while the PB version is thicket like a upholstery fabric. The price cannot be beat though. I have the ability to buy 2-3 different styles for 1 of the PB. I also feel more comfortable washing the Sure Fit and low heat drying than I ever would the PB. The quality is obviously lower, hence the price, but for a home with 3 children under 10, I feel better about the price and ability to wash more often.

I ordered 6 of these in the natural color to cover up my dining chairs that once had ivory cushions, but are now just a mosaic of stains. I had no problem with the fit or the color. Another reviewer commented about needing an iron and I couldn't agree more. I washed them before using them, dried them in the dryer (they still fit my large chairs) and took them out immediately. If you are going for shabby-chic, then they're perfect! Otherwise, get the iron out. Even if you do like the shabby-chic look, you will still want to iron the ties to make pretty bows. That's the only thing negative I have to say about these covers... I wish the fabric was more wrinkle resistant, but then I suppose they would be a lot more expensive. I guess the kids that created the stains on the chair cushions are going to have to learn how to iron.

I have used Sure-fit slip covers successfully in the past and assumed this product would work well for my dining chairs. Unfortunately, these were a disappointment. First, the color wasn't what I expected, it was much more yellow than the photos. The fabric was much more thin and transparent than other slipcovers I have used. The slipcover did not fit well because of too much loose fabric, even when I tied it. I tried unsuccessfully to iron one but the wrinkles were impossible to remove. Ultimately I sent these back.

Product too think to protect a fabric chair and poorly made.

These are very thin and need to be ironed. They don't feel the way I remember them, which was more like canvas, but they cover the chairs, so I kept them.

They cover upholstery on my stools so cats can lay there without damaging upholstery. The short length allows the legs to be seen. Further, the short length is perfect since these are stools for my kitchen island & it would be impossible to find chair covers in a length to match these stools. I would definitely purchase them again.

This is my 2nd time ordering these. I have 4 chairs which get heavy use the last 4 lasted almost 4 years then they just wore out had some rips in the corners of the seams but these are excellent. I wash them, sometimes I use an iron on them.

The slipcover is made of very nice, soft material, and looks good on the chairs. However it was too big for my dining room chairs. What a pity.Maria E. De la Guardia
