Great product. Reduce your environmental impact while getting a better battery. Over time a real money saver.
HOW TO CHOOSE A RECHARGEABLE BATTERY Since rechargeable battles have an enviromental impact with disposal, you want to buy the ones that work the best and lasting the longest. The best rechargable battery I have used (and I have been using rechargeable batteries for over a decade), are NIMH. THese batteries have the greatest advantages and the few disadvantages (as detailed below). My choce is base on 3 basic principles: Capacity, performance and self-discharge rate. Capacity is measure in mAh - think of this as the gas tank in your car. The higher the mAh, the bigger the "tank" and the longer the battery will work. Performance is a measure of ability to last in energy guzzling devices such as gaming consoles and digital cameras. Performance of NIMH batteries is nearly double that of the usuable disposable alkaline battery. This is similar to the need for high-octane gas in high performance cars. Self-discharge rate is how fast a fully charged battery loses its power ("leaky" gas tank). There are 2 types of NIMH batteries, LSD (low self-dischage) and non LSD. he LSD NIMH batteries will retain 75% of their charge for a year or longer. Non-LSD NIMH batteries lose about 15% of their charge in a month. Since I mostly use rechargeable batteries is "battery eating devices" and rarely store my batteries for more than a month, I use the non-LSD version. so now you have the information to look at the different paramenter of NIMH batteries and determine the best value for your battery usage. In my own experience, many LSD NIMH batteries have not performed as well as regular NIMH batteries. So I prefer the regular NIMH type. Brand is also important. I find energizer brand to be high quality, long lasting and reasonable priced.

Batteries still charging well all these years later
The product arrived as advertised and met all my expectations in terms of quality. It performed just as described, and I had no issues using it. I would definitely purchase it again if I found myself in the same situation.

8 YEARS OF USING THIS BATTERIES AND 2 OF THEM STILL ALIVE OUT OF 4.
I'M A GUY OF FEW REVIEWS. AFTER 8 YEARS OF MODERATE USE, TWO OF THE FOUR AA BATTERIES ARE STILL ALIVE AND IN PERFECT SHAPE. I DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHEN THE OTHER TWO GOT DAMAGE, BUT IT WAS AFTER THE FIRST 5 YEARS, FOR SURE. YOU CAN GATHER YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS WITH MY DATA NOW.

Save money with rechargeable batteries
Rechargeable batteries are the way to go. They are a little bit more expensive in the very beginning but worth every penny. My fiance uses his flashlight constantly for work. And using the rechargeable batteries has actually saved us a lot of money

I use them in my old handheld Pro-67 RadioShack police scanner almost everyday, with volume at 80% and scanning mode in fonction they last about 12-14 hours, this is about 75% of some pricey alkaline, ,, they take about 2 hours to recharge with my intelligent charger, i still have the 20 year old set of nickel–cadmium batteries that came with this scanner and they still take a charge! (but not for long) would buy energizer again, and again and again and again.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPDATE... I just recharged them with a new more Hi-Tech / hi quality charger, put them in my handheld RadioShack police scanner to see the difference, they now lasted 30 hours non stop!!! if you want batteries to last, dont use "Fast chargers" or low low quality chargers..
