Closest to real with tilled Earth and 24 season names(not only 4)
Great product! It answers questions 90% grownups don’t even know. It also names 24 seasonal changes, which is commonly used by ancient humans, especially by Chinese?

very useful, but tricky to assemble
I bought this product to use in my middle school science classroom. Once assembled, it rotates nicely for me and demonstrates both the phases of the moon and the seasons of the sun-earth-moon system. I had some difficulties putting it together, however. The screws are tricky to put in as they are super short, and I actually had to disassemble and reassemble the whole system because I didn't make sure the seasons were properly aligned when I first put the gears on. The sun's wire also seemed too long at first, but if I put the metal pole in and then the sun in the center, it bent to fit correctly without any other tools. Overall, if you make sure you align everything correctly when assembling the first time and can manage with the shorter screws, I think this will definitely be worth it and a useful model in my classroom.

Sun Earth Moon Orbital Model with Light,
Such a great model to use in the classroom!

Can not calibrate
There were NO instructions on how to assemble especially how to calibrate the moon/earth cycle with the sun. Was NOT able to contact MFG for instructions - no information on how to do so. Furthermore, the light from "the sun" was poorly aligned onto the earth and found no way to adjust.

Perfect for the Classroom!
I love this model! I ordered it to help my 5th graders understand the difference between Earth's rotation and revolution around the sun, as well as how Earth's movement affects the seasons. They had such a better understanding after using this model. It was also incredibly easy to put together and feels nice and sturdy. The 6th grade teacher has already asked me to borrow it to help with her unit on the phases on the moon (the phases will shine onto the wall when the sun is turned on). I definitely recommend this model!

Impossible to assemble
ZERO stars! Nothing was given to piece these two parts together. Two screw and two nuts but the screws aren’t long enough to fit and even if they did the cog wouldn’t go on…….no instructions. Awful don’t buy. I from the packaging it looked like returned items they tried to piece together. Dumb idea. It seemed like a cool mode for kids’ science.

Best Value Orrery
I bought this orrery for my 11 year old grandson as a Christmas gift. It is a fantastic teaching device. If you are looking for a high-precision machined mechanism, this isn't it, but it is nicely designed, colorful and does what it needs to for educating one on the movement of the earth and moon in the solar system. It will demonstrate sunrise, sunset, and the seasons of the year. A little interpretation will suffice to explain the monthly change of the moon from full to zero. Even eclipses. Fun for everyone 8 to 80. Worth the price! Get one!

Needs adjustment
Although there are no instructions, the model went together easily. But it did not work. After studying the photos and other comments, we realized that the wire from the sun had to be recut and bent (using a heat gun, not an easy job) to fit into the whole in the season handle. It still didn't work, and we had to remove the spacer under the sun platform and manufacture another which would allow the gears to drop down to the correct level. Luckily I had a man at home who used to be a builder, otherwise the model would be in the garbage as I could not have possibly fixed it. That said, once it was fixed it works perfectly and has taught a 3rd grader about orbits and planet rotation.
