Helped to revive my aging PC.....Twice!
This is a wonderful bit of kit. My now 12 years old gaming PC finally popped it's clogs a couple of years ago. The BIOS, which had been flakey for a while, and the backup BIOS were corrupted. I needed just a little more time from her before I could upgrade and this helped to bring her back. She soldiered on until yesterday when she gave in again. Rather than let her rest in peace though, I brought her back once again using this programmer. The PC currently operates as a second gaming PC so my daughter and I can game together, so she is still used often and brings lots of enjoyment to us. I just need a few more months from her before I can build my daughter a new PC and then she can finally rest in silicon heaven. Without this bit of kit though she wouldn't have made it past 10. So, if you tinker with PC's you need this in your toolbox.

Useful to have if you’re a techie!
I purchased this programmer for a laptop BIOS modification - added NVMe support to an AMI UEFI BIOS (Asus ROG G751JY). It worked exactly as expected: allowed successfully read and flash BIOS ROMs directly to the chip – no issues whatsoever. · Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the SOIC8 clip because I didn’t use it - I replaced it with a Pomona 5250. 👉 I've had this programmer for almost 5 months and haven't had problems with it yet. Surprisingly sturdy for an inexpensive EEPROM programmer. Highly recommended!

Fiddly clip, otherwise reliable
I was able to successfully install coreboot on a ThinkPad T420 with this kit. The clip was fiddly to get on and it was a bit askew, but I found that if the activity LED powered on briefly whilst plugging the programmer in, then it was properly connected. Don't be tempted to move the clip around whilst it's powered, you might fry the chip it's attached to. I can't comment on the provided software as I used flashrom on Linux, which worked without issue when the clip was properly attached. Just remember that you shouldn't use this with 1.8v flash chips without an adapter as you could potentially fry the chip.

Brought my graphics card back from the dead
This saved my RTX 3080 by flashing a new firmware on there. The quality is good enough to do the job a handful of times but not something for every day use

Reliable clip
I bought this CH341A programmer because I hoped that spending a few extra £'s would mean getting a good quality clip that would avoid the need for any desoldering, and happily that is how it turned out. I read/erased/wrote several times over the week and was able to easily get a good connection to the chip each time with no issues. The locking lever arm on my programmer wasn't working correctly at first and did not provide enough grip. The arm had been pulled out and away from the programmer and so wasn't engaging correctly but I was able to push the arm back in and it worked just fine after that. There was no documentation in the package but it can be found GitHub. I tried the manufacturer drivers from GitHub but Windows Device Manager was not happy and each attempt to read the chip resulted in a different file. So I used AsProgrammer and the driver that came with that software. The UI is almost identical to the one provided by the manufacturer and I was able to read the chip correctly after this. I'd read on the internet to read the chip twice and compare a hash of the two files to ensure that the contents of the files are identical. Good advice! Other sources of info on the internet suggested that the device needs to be modified for a 3v chip like the one I was trying to flash, and this is even referred to in the manufacturer instructions. However a YouTube video from Electronics Repair School explained this wasn't necessary, so I did not bother. After a lot of searching the internet and a bit or trial and error then I was able to fix my sons laptop which was stuck in a boot loop and would not boot from either the hard drive or a USB drive or CD.

bought to repair my LG subwoofer (EEPROM needed reprogramming) this item worked perfectly
bought to repair my LG subwoofer which would not connect to LG soundbar (Subwoofer EEPROM had become corrupted and needed reprogramming, apparently this is a common fault with LG subwoofers ), this item worked perfectly, i watched a video on you tube on how to connect this to the EEPROM and what software to use and now have a fully working subwoofer again .

Requires perseverance
I bought this to repair a laptop that no longer booted. I know a little about pc repairs but this was one of the most complicated things I have done. First off, there are no instructions with the product, and I could find no trace of the KeeYees website. This meant I had to find the right driver and programming software for myself. I basically tried various drivers until something worked. In terms of programmer I used Neoprogrammer, which ultimately did the job. Like others, one of the real challenges is getting the clip correctly attached to the BIOS chip. This was ok at first but the plastic tip rapidly deteriorated until the clip was constantly springing off the chip. I ended up removing the spring mechanism and trying to weigh down the clip to make contact. After two sessions of learning the process bit by bit, I managed to write the Bios to my chip (which takes about 15 - 20 minutes depending on the file size) and to my huge surprise the laptop booted and has been stable since. Overall, it took a lot of perseverance but I am extremely happy to have saved a very useful laptop for only £12. So minus 2 stars for the total lack of support and poor build quality but it’s worth 3 stars for ultimately doing the job. EDIT: I have since seen that the product description points you to a GitHub address to download the manual and software. I wish this had been made a lot clearer!

circuit does not work for 3.3V, besides a well know issue with the design (no support for 3.3v) the voltage regulator was also not working so I couldn't even repair it myself without buying and replacing components

¡Altamente recomendado!
