The Big Kalimba Songbook: 100+ Songs for kalimba in C (10 and 17 key)

I find this has been a great starter book for me. I bought a kalimba and want to be able to play it properly. Most of the books out there only teach songs such a nursery rhymes for children but I didn’t really want to play baa baa black sheep I prefer something like canon. This does have children’s music but also adult songs too so good for both child or adult kalimba players.

Easy to Play, for Beginners like Myself. Great and Lovely Old Music.

The book would have been better if spiral bound but I have found a way, I stand the book on my cookery book stand secure with 2 pegs and I am away. I hope this might help.

Just what I wanted. Good explanation of how to read different types of Kalimba notation. Great old songs- haven’t played the Minstrel Boy since I had an accordion from a junk shop 60 years ago! Hours of fun!

It has what I was looking for... staff music with song lyrics so you can keep up with (figure out?) the note values... simplified. I'm using it to learn how to play tunes (other than ,"Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star") on a C Major Tongue Drum. I added names of the notes to the numbers on the drum with the help of a tuner. I don't know enough about music to convert the music to D Major. Buyer beware! Half these less expensive drums come in D Major instead of C, but all the music provided is in C Major, as best I can determine. I want to learn to play, "The Sound of Silence". In the whole song it has one B flat! No other Bs. They say on Youtube you can tune your drum with magnets. I ordered the magnets so maybe I can make the B note flat for that one piece? Wish me luck.

Easy to understand

Il libro è fantastico, piuttosto facile per un'apprendista di kalimba. Molte canzoni meravigliose, alcune note, altre lo sembravano un pò meno, ma suonando la melodia ci si accorge di averle già sentite in qualche famoso film del passato. Consiglio a tutti questo ottimo manuale, è proprio ben strutturato.
