Tandy Leather Jewelers Rouge 3323-00,White

This product was amazing. I've been to several craft stores looking for this rouge, but finally found it here on Amazon. The reviews about it being to hard or looking old are because people don't know how to use it. I just took a piece of cardboard and rubbed it roughly on it until there was a good coat, then took my swivel knife and drug it across the rouge AT THE SAME ANGLE THE BLADE IS. You can see it getting sharper with each pass. You can also use a leather strop, or a piece of wood. But the application is basically the same. After about 5 or 6 passes on each side my knife was as sharp as a razor.

I use this to keep my leather working tools sharp,I also sharpen my knives with this stuff. I just rubthis on a piece of leather or string and sharpen mycutting tools.

This rouge is dry beyond use. I used a heat gun to try to melt it back down a bit and it takes forever for it to barely come to the point when I load my polishing device but as soon as you take the heat off, it turns back into a powdery rock.

Works great. Polishes up steel knives well. Make sure you make a paste from it. People who don't know how to use this product give it a bad review. Works perfectly when used properly.

I'm not really sure if I'm even qualified to write a review on this rouge, as this is the first one I've ever even seen. When this came to me, it seemed really dried up, like it was much too old. I mean, it was tougher than chalk. This could be a normal thing so I am still giving it 5 stars, but I just wanted to put it out there for anyone who really knows what they're buying.

Very disappointed with this rouge. It is very hard and does not soften easily; tried heat, olive oil and even water to soften the rouge. Next time I order rouge, it won't be this one.

Dried out garbage. So old and hard it shattered like glass. Don’t bother buying

I have bought this product before, but I think it is actually larger than it has been. Totally fine with that!
