Are the 3 pieces connected together or is the each piece just a stand alone? I'm looking for a sofa that all pieces connect and don't slide.

You fasten them together and they will not slide. I too wanted a sofa that was all one and it is very nice. An added bonus that I also like is the removable covers for all of the pillows and cushions, this makes it so easy to wash.

where does the brace bars go ?

The brace bars connect the middle seat to the end seats. It’s depicted on the instructions. Try to put it together on top of a table. It’s easier doing it that way. You have to turn it upside down.

What is the weight capacity? How big & heavy is the box in which it is delivered?

I believe the weight capacity is 700lbs. The de delivery box was large but manageable. It was cleaver how they were able to pack everything into one box.

Does the color fade very much in the sun?

I have had mine for nearly a year. It is on a covered porch and never gets rained on but does get some west sun in the afternoon. I haven’t noticed any fading at all. I have been very pleased with the set I purchased.
