However, to your point... Maltodextrin can be bad if used more than moderately or if you're a diabetic or have insulin resistance. This is an answer best gotten directly from the manufacturer. Hello Deborah the Barlean’s Superfruit Greens you are seeing is not our original formula but our new and improved. We made the shift a few years ago after looking at nutrient value and wanting the best of the best for our customers. We had a lot of ingredients in smaller amounts in our original formula and heard loud and clear from a lot of customers that were allergic and asking for change. We decided to use less ingredients but triple the nutritional value and we pulled out the probiotic as we couldn’t always be sure it could survive the long shelf life .We then tripled our prebiotic to ensure a healthy biome where good bacteria can thrive.
